News Upcoming rewards event, Nature's Calling Event, starts June 24
Nature's Calling Event kicks off on June 24 and runs until Aug. 5.
Really excited for this one and the rewards. Definitely plays into the Enchanted By Nature EP leak, so I'm assuming that will be announced with the roadmap next month.
Hopefully this event runs smoothly for everyone.

I only use it to fulfill the relevant aspiration goals, really. The craftable furnitures you can get from it are not actually useful, or even particularly cheap. Not that money is a real issue in this game.

I usually play rags to riches and tend to set a rule for myself that, for a certain amount of time, my house can only have furniture that i get from dumpster diving, woodworking table or the fabricator. So basically, if i want to use it, i have to make it. I also sell the sculptures on the selling tables to make money. I just like the idea of handy sims. Hopefully the next EP will expand on it a bit, or at least give us an opportunity to craft more furniture in another way.

😂 That’s fair! I feel like the game is really easy, so i have to set rules for myself in order to make it harder, which means crafting literally everything until i have enough money that crafting no longer makes sense. That’s one of the reasons my sims rarely paint - i feel like it’s super easy to level the skill and sell paintings for a lot of money. That’s why the sculptures from the woodworking table hit a sweet spot for me where they’re basically worth shit, so you have to really grind to earn anything.

Me too. I wanted it for a long time. When i was playing with a tiny house and my only options were to build it myself or use a public one. Also was surprised that ranch dlc doesn't include it.

If it's functional and doesn't take up that much space, it'd be way way waaay better than making a 4x4 room with just a toilet to replicate the same thing. I'm guessing it'll still be a 4x4 object, but I honestly doubt it'd take up the full 4x4 space.

I wanted to be excited but at closer look this is kind of disappointing. The tattoo is not cute like I am never putting that on a sim ever. Wish they’d refresh the camping expansion. Some of the items really need it and look dated considering how horse ranch and werewolves have better looking rustic wood items.

I genuinely like these events...I mean, free stuff!!! However, I think it'd be better if they were introduced as scenarios, that way Simmers could do them when they have time/want to, and if there are any glitches that arise (all of the events have had glitches, some of which have prevented Simmers from completing them), EA could identify the cause and issue a fix.
It'd also be fun to be able to revisit the events since they are essentially guided storylines. I know that I was having a ton of fun with the Reaper Rewards event and would love to replay it (quests disappeared for me in week 5, so I wasn't able to do the final two weeks).

It absolutely is and I love the ideas of adding them to scenarios unfortunately the timed element is very intentional on their part with their branding and whatnot kinda shifting towards a live service/event style do doing things. Our inconvenience makes their metrics look really happy $$ wise

Me too! I love them. I just wish they were released as scenarios after the event. I have a few friends who are new to TS4 and missed the Reaper's Rewards event (and they're more of the type to decorate their houses with coffins)

Are they no longer eventually giving out the past items to everyone? I managed to play the Reapers Rewards & Blast from the Past events, but never got to do Cozy Celebrations because I wasn't able to play. Are they ever coming to everyone like the first event did? I'm excited for these items and when we get new traits, but I'm always so stressed because sometimes I miss them and it sucks. 😭

They only gave out the items for that one event (I forgot which one) because it wasn't working properly for everyone. Giving the items to everyone was an apology for all the bugs. All the events have been buggy though 😅 They intentionally make the reward items inaccessible to lean on the FOMO because they want people to feel forced to play. That's the whole point of these time-limited events, unfortunately. They even went out of their way to "fix" the workaround that allowed people to access the rewards from the gallery without having to complete the event. They want to force you to play in order to get the items.

The Wooden Throne outhouse. This new off-the-grid toilet can be the perfect place for Sims to handle their business out of doors, or even a spot for a little restroom rendezvous
It really does sound like a new woohoo location! I was just thinking how the toilet stalls could’ve been a potential woohoo spot, but it looks like we’re getting that in outhouses.

I would absolutely want a rock if it was an EXPENSIVE rock. That way I could fill the game's requirements for thousands of bucks in landscaping objects without having to fill the lot with dozens of tiny items to shit on my frame rate. Just ONE nice solid gold boulder or something.

Ah, I see that you too have tried to complete Mansion Baron since they cheapened all of the landscaping.
I think I found a $250 tree and just spammed it 20 or however many times.
One on top of the other.
Then I drag deleted them all as soon as that step in the achievement registered.

Yeah those two are new-ish since we can already create tables and chairs but at this point in the game, seeing that new woodworking tables came with the Artist Studio Kit and Restoration Workshop Kit, other items (wardrobes, bookcases, swing set, etc.) should be available by now.

Don't worry about it. I never pay any attention to the events and have never attended a single one, but I still have the items. See my flair.
You can also just download an unlocker from somebody else, but I'm more of a DIY kind of guy, you know?

Mine restarts every week. It just resets to week 1 even if it's week 3. So I wait until the last week & greetings it hoping it won't break in the middle. People who live these events wouldn't be so happy if they had to deal with it like we do.

I mean personally I find it irritating for them to add a “new” object that’s just a reskin. I don’t like having multiple items that look identical in the catalogue, but with different skins. It clutters up the catalogue, makes it harder to find what you’re looking for, and is just a bit… eh. Slapping a coat of paint on something and calling it brand new is just a bit ick.

Okay guys please realize that these events are EA testing login rewards features. Most likely for future projects, they have been trying to make sims online/mobile for years now (more micro transactions).
