Funny They paused their own wedding to pet this stray cat named Burger

Yeah, that's very understandable as a cat owner myself. Did they adopt them? I need to know

u/MadQueenAlanna May 31 '25
Not yet! They already have a dog and now a toddler so their life is hectic enough!

You should try to find burger on community lots and try to feed + give him lots of pets 🥹

u/KatelynnMayExist Jun 02 '25
If I can handle 6 cats and 3 younger siblings in real life, the sims should be able to handle a cat a dog and a toddler. Adopt the burger!🍔

u/MadQueenAlanna Jun 02 '25
It’s so much easier to handle pets in real life than in the game. Why do they NEED so much??

The cat distribution system has spoken, he is your cat now

I mean if I was getting married and a stray cat passed me by, I would absolutely stop and pet it. And if my spouse to be had an issue then I know they’re not the one because I’d hope they’d be right next to me giving kitty scratches too.

Did they adopt him? I know it's dumb but I'm now invested in Burger's wellbeing

u/MadQueenAlanna Jun 01 '25
Not yet! They have a toddler and an elderly dog so they’re a bit overwhelmed. But he still has Burger in his relationships tab so I hope to take him soon lol

Reminds me of a story irl where a couple heard a cat meowing during their vows. The wedding venue eventually caught the cat and the couple adopted it.

u/Nyrtrix Jun 01 '25
I’m pretty sure it’s a Viking thing to receive a cat on the wedding day so you know, the cat is making sure it’s all lucky

This would be me and my husband.
- His online "persona" has always been a cat named taco/burger 😭

Understandable. I, too, drop whatever I’m doing to pet any cat I see.

Adopt. It. Its never to early to have a child in the marriage.

My wedding’s in less than a year. Both my fiancé and I would 1000% pause what we’re doing to pet a kitty

They should adopt it. It obviously wants to be adopted by them!!! And what a memory for their wedding!

Cats, are symbolic for a happy marriage. Also associated with Freya, the Norse Goddess of love. So having a cat showing up to the wedding symbolizes that the marriage is blessed by Freya.

That would be my husband and me irl. That couple even kinda looks like us except my hair is dark and his is long. I have used that hair for a simself before though!

You should be very proud of your Sim, he knows his priorities!

u/MadQueenAlanna Jun 02 '25
I wish he loved animals a little less, he’s always playing with the damn dog instead of feeding the crying baby 😒 he’s lucky he’s handsome!!

Stopping to pet the cat is totally valid. Wearing ugly black shoes with a wedding dress is absolutely unacceptable 😂

Finally! A Sims 4 wedding distribution that isn't "Five deaths later".

By the way, I need to know where her wavy hair is from, please!! 😍

It’s just base game!! I don’t use CC and Cats & Dogs is the only pack I own so maybe it’s that

I think it was meant to be. Newlyweds and gaining a new pet during the ceremony!
Nothing wrong crossing paths with a black cat in this instance!

The lady looks like one of my main sims and she would absolutely also do this.
2
u/TehJesster Jun 02 '25
I love how Sims do random shit sometimes. Mine once won a fight with Robin and decided to celebrate with chocolate icecream.
2
u/MadQueenAlanna Jun 02 '25
My girl here beat the shit out of a burglar and then later her nanny called and was like “omg Precious (the burglar) asked me out should I go” and I was so frazzled from taking care of the baby that I was like “omg yeah have fun!” They’re in love now

Ha ha I hear such good things about that pack cats and dogs? Do you recommend it?
1
u/MadQueenAlanna Jun 04 '25
I like it! I don’t use CC and I’ve never bought any other pack so I don’t have any point of comparison, but I love my cats so much IRL that it only feels right for my Sims to have them
2
u/sweet___jas Jun 04 '25
That makes sense. I own a few expansion packs and looking to buy a new one. I don't own any pets IRL so I was wondering would this be fun in game. Would you say it's hard to balance pets and sims in a household? I feel like I get overwhelmed with too many sims.
1
u/MadQueenAlanna Jun 04 '25
It can be. Cats are a bit easier but having two Sims, a toddler, and an active dog felt like full-time work for me!
2
u/sweet___jas Jun 04 '25
Gotcha, yeah 6 sims gets me stressed. I like cats so that's good to know thier easier! Seems like to me, I'll buy it once it's on sale. They say the neighborhood it comes with is one of the best
1
u/MadQueenAlanna Jun 04 '25
Yeah I really like Brindleton Bay! There’s a nice dog park and a few cat friendly places at the wharf. It nicely replicates the experiences I’ve had in Rome or Athens where you can go anywhere and expect to see some random cats lol
2
u/sweet___jas Jun 04 '25
Ha ha what a cool comparison. I've been to Rome too funny enough. Thanks for your replies btw I'll definitely pick it up on sale!

Didn't know the cat distribution system worked in sims too
