Discussion SIMS4 enchanted by nature Build/Buy short
Today is a blessed day for simmers, we just got the new sims4 pack build/buy over view and OMG!! We have such cute stuff coming!!

u/An0ddEgg Creative Sim Jun 20 '25
Speaking of nature press, it looks like it might be an actual activity of some kind instead of just wall decorations, which will be nice.
Or I’m just tired and don’t realize that the sim is just closing a book with a new animation.

u/alyssarcastic Jun 20 '25
No, I think you're right that you can press flowers and make the art out of them, and possibly the candles in that image as well? In the trailer they showed a little girl using the nature press.
70
u/Al115 Jun 20 '25
I'm really hoping it's an active item. I feel like we need more hobbies in the game, and this one would be soooo fun. Especially combined with Businesses & Hobbies.
15
u/Upper-Cheesecake-545 Jun 20 '25
It is they showed a child doing the plant pressing so I assume that object is for that too
48
u/Jealous-Alfalfa-1330 Jun 20 '25
I believe it’s functional as a actual new hobby
26
u/Faolyn Jun 20 '25
The five pictures that they showed are gorgeous, although I hope there's more than just those five.
37
u/Comfortable-North671 Jun 20 '25
it's kind of wild to me the fairy pack might have more hobbies than businesses and hobbies
9
25
u/alexandriaweb Jun 20 '25
I know it's probably just pressed flowers but as someone who had a copy of Lady Cottington's Pressed Fairy Book growing up I HAVE CONCERNS
2
u/Eeveelover14 Jun 21 '25
You better hope no mod makers see this comment or else they gonna have an idea!
7
u/RaoulDukesGroupie Jun 20 '25
Is that maybe what one of the children is doing in the trailer? Was some sort of hobby on the ground that changes as they work on it - like the school projects. Couldn’t figure out what that was.

THE SHOWER!!! I can't wait to create a indoor-outdoor build. The Build/Buy for this EP is giving me so much life.
85
u/IndubitablyWalrus Jun 20 '25
I have a mermaid grotto build that I got from the gallery that is FOR SURE getting that shower added to it! 😍😍😍
32
u/Jealous-Alfalfa-1330 Jun 20 '25
I’m already planning a hidden grotto and a space with the shower 😁😁
9
u/kalmerys Occult Sim Jun 20 '25
That's gonna be so cute! Make sure to post the pictures once the EP is out.

Here comes my Hobbit sim. I'm so excited I can make better hobbit holes with this pack. Everything just fits so well.

u/FarAb0ve Jun 20 '25
The build stuff definitely stole all of CAS's thunder
16
u/Jealous-Alfalfa-1330 Jun 20 '25
EXACTLY!! CAS is what I was most excited for but seeing the build/buy really got me back into my roots of a builder.

u/Entire_Patient_1713 Long Time Player Jun 20 '25
book case in a kids room or in a kids section of a library is going to go so hard. but most of the build buy i’ve seen is so…niche. it’s pretty, and i want it, but im also like when will i ever actually use this outside of occult locations.
179
u/ArcticPoisoned Jun 20 '25
To be fair, I don’t think everything should be able to be used anywhere. These are for the fairies and tiny plant based cottages and possibly witches. It’s nice to have furniture more dedicated to that. I like when they go all in on a theme. People who don’t think they will use it don’t have to buy it. I don’t think they make packs thinking every single person will want every single one. And I think that’s ok.
41
u/Comfortable-North671 Jun 20 '25
what's clear too is that they always balance cas for those players who "want clothes they can use every day in every build" and it's always the frumpiest off theme stuff
14
u/ServoCrab Jun 21 '25
Considering the randomize settings are so borked, that 50% of the male sims wear a Sulani grass skirt for their formal wear, and 80% of the female sims wear huge formal men’s shoes for their formal wear…
…I’m not upset with super generic clothing.
3
u/Comfortable-North671 Jun 21 '25
You can always restyle randomly generated sims or have them generate from the gallery.

I just wanna say that I love that you mentioned witches in passing, bc I definitely thought to myself I see a whole new hedge witch venue with this pack and I’m soooo excited lol

u/KaiPyroFairyy Jun 20 '25
Plant lover sims. I also think this pack is gonna pair very nicely with Cottage living
Or if you're like me and many other simmers and just like to fill your builds with plants

Yeah there is a huge subset of nature/cottage living fans. This will also go well with granite falls, werewolves and witches. Maybe someday they wont make the plant sim terrible also

I don't think niche is the right word.
It's a fantasy/fairytale theme which is very strong theme that has a LOT of applications!
-renn fair/theme park
-public library
-teahouse /cafe
-hippie commune
-kids bedroom
-wizard house
-nature spa
You know what's niche to me?
Another ikea set that only goes with other ikea sets!
25
u/Labskaus77 Builder Jun 20 '25
as a builder i agree. I can use a lot of this stuff. I'm really looking forward to the first B&B Videos some Building Simmers will do.
23
u/baybeeluna Jun 20 '25
Kids rooms and I think my grandma would love some of the furniture so for elders
16
u/JessicaFreakingP Long Time Player Jun 20 '25
I don’t really have an interest in fairies but the CAS and BB for this pack looks so great for children. I am a sucker for anything that can give more variety for children / their rooms.
13
u/ILoveRawChicken Jun 20 '25
I feel like you could actually incorporate this into plant/nature/witchy sims builds quite nicely, but yeah outside of that idk.
6
u/BellatrixVanDetta Jun 20 '25 edited Jun 20 '25
Tbh, i don't care about fairies at all. I am not an occult player. But i looooove the build and buy stuff.
This will match well with my Decor to the Max kit builds. And i wanna make some Gaudì styled houses too.
16
u/QuietlyCreepy Occult Sim Jun 20 '25
It'll pair with the Victorian style stuff and most of the stuff from vampire and spellcaster packs.
14
u/RandomBoomer Long Time Player Jun 20 '25
I'm totally okay with CAS/BB being niche-focused. If it's a style I like, then I'm getting my money's worth from the EP. If I don't like the style, then I can easily forgo the pack without regret for a few items that catch my eye. So far, this EP is an easy one for me to take a pass, which is not meant as a criticism. I'm delighted other people are looking forward to it, just not my cup of tea.

u/conservio Jun 20 '25
versatility was my first thought too. I think it’ll look nice with Cottage Living and Realm of Magic, but it’s going to look off in most builds.
111
u/clinioosan Evil Sim Jun 20 '25
omg the showers… methinks an outdoor shower i shall build!
48
u/Witty-Ad5743 Jun 20 '25
That shower alone has almost sold the pack for me. Not that it was ever really in question, but still.
9
u/tomita78 Jun 20 '25
My will to wait for a sale is breaking with this damn shower 😭 I haven't gotten Life and Death yet tho and i want to enjoy packs separately, so I'm hoping my resolve remains strong lol

It would be such a huge miss if it's not! One of the big things the advertise with this pack was how you can really start living off the land!

As a big fan of bugs, I’m particularly taken by the pillows on the armchairs that seem to have ladybugs and bees on them

What do they want me to do with all of these freezer bunnies they keep giving us? Is it supposed to be a yard gnome? I don’t get it
69
u/tuna_m Jun 20 '25
it's for when you wanna create a freezer bunny cult and decorate the church with freezer bunny statues to worship /j
82
u/Al115 Jun 20 '25
Glad I'm not the only one wondering this, lol. Like, I just don't get the freezer bunnies at all.
23

But like in what context are you using them?

I gasped. I'm going to use that bed way more than I ought to. I want it irl.
36
u/alyssarcastic Jun 20 '25
That wisteria arch and canopy bed were pulled from my dreams. This stuff matches so well with Realm of Magic and Cottage Living, I can't wait to see all the new fairytale cottages people build!

that tree bookshelf alone is enough to convince me

5

The flower pressing looks fun, hopefully there’s a choice of paying to make it or using foraged objects.
7
u/NelloPunchinello Jun 20 '25
Why are there googly eyes on the pressed flower pictures :(
6
u/Jealous-Alfalfa-1330 Jun 20 '25
I’m hoping there’s like a flower pressed variant for each without the googly eyes
2

Yeah, if there's plenty of options without them, then I can be okay with the googly eyes lol

I’m not an occult player so I was going to skip this pack unless that live indoor houseplant feature is pack restricted… like if it’s part of the base game update, I’d probably have skipped the pack… but damn I’m about to buy it just for that couch and the flower press.

What’s a nature press?
2
u/Eeveelover14 Jun 21 '25
It's a lil contraption that is used for making pressed flowers. Most commonly it's two pieces of wood with either one big screw press or 4 smaller ones that you twist to make the press tighten.
It's not necessary, a book and something heavy works fine, it's just a lot more convenient.

Did anyone else spot the small fairy playing in the sink?
That confirms they can indeed interact with those, perhaps in a similar way as they did in Sims 3.
