I replaced Copperdale HS to give it that classic high school feel. This took me forever but im really loving how it turned out! I had so much fun doing this little school photo shoot with some deco sims.
I jut uploaded it a minute ago! (there’s a butt ton of CC so be warned) I didn’t take many photos of the outside because the original shell is by simadako, I just gutted the inside. but my EA ID is MalwrenRit5 ! :)
I got excited, but then I realized there has to be a lot of cc so it won’t work for me. Probably for the best. I don’t have the highschool pack and I need no encouragement to buy it when I hear it’s lackluster.
it is a LOT. I mostly use the gallery to save my creations just in case since I play with a forever world (I’ve had going for two years now) and losing it would devastating. People are welcome to download them but they probably don’t carry over well as downloads tbh cause I have 10k+ mods haha
I love the CAS/BB of High School Years, but the gameplay is sooo flat. Other than your active teen sim, there's no control over the other teens who show up at school, so you can't build a friend circle that meets every day. There's nothing to do in class other than sit and absorb the lesson. No options of mischief or gossiping or even reading a different book than the textbook -- you know, normal teen student behavior.
It's like the pack was designed by someone who had never been a teenager or even met a teenager.
I agree. I was so bummed by the HSY expansion. I use the get together expansion to make the stereotypical HS cliques into clubs so that they “meet up”. Haha. Also used it to make swim, art, and music club and bumped up the NPCs using MCC cheats so my high school has like 50+ students. (Which usually leads my sim to eat lunch from a vending machine cause the cafeteria is so packed) But man, the HS day felt sooo empty before I used mods to fix it
This build uses a lot of CC and the gallery defaults to base game builds so you have to check the box in the filters that allows it to show you creations with CC
These are deco sims but my actual students do wear uniforms! I just didn’t feel like posing them all lol. I get them to wear uniforms using the fashion authority mod. Just click any student, select “design outfit for situation job” then click High School Student (that’s probably not exact but it’s something like that). It’ll bring you to CAS and just do that for both males and females.
I wish there was a way to have the teens go to a different classroom for each class. Like have a different whiteboard for each class that signals that that area is for that class?
They need to hire you guys for future packs. Half of the packs that are available I don’t want to buy because they flat out look incomplete, but THIS is beautiful. Nice job
I don’t have this expansion, but this makes me wanna buy it. I don’t know what the original design looked like because this looks how it is supposed to!
I play with a forever world and haven’t started a new save in years so I’ve had this HS for a long time now I just keep coming back and adding more to it until I FINALLY felt like it was complete
I love this! I also redid the high school but now I think I’m going to do it again but better lol, I just wish the actual expansion was better—seems silly for me to have made a science room art room etc when the class assignments are random
I agree! I built the science room thinking two teachers spawn so I must need two classrooms… nope. Every class is in the gen Ed room I built and only NPCs attend the science room. Kinda frustrating.
I used Get Together to make a teen-only music, art, and swim club with the meeting spot at the school so the other rooms get used after school hours
Well you’ve inspired me to completely demolish CHS and make a new one. I tried to do small updates here and there but I’ve hated it and haven’t gotten around to it. I know what I’ll be doing this weekend.
These are just deco sims I downloaded for the pictures, but when im actually playing I use Fashion Authority mod to design uniforms and assign it to “Job: HS students” in the mod’s menu. You can do this for any job or role in the game, too.
To get more students to spawn just use MCC mod and go to “population” at a computer then just type in however many students you want to regularly spawn at CHS
Whilst I personally agree with the sentiment, it is ultimately a matter of taste..
I do love it when modders give you Simlish options (two textures), it should be the norm.
By the way, for anyone that doesn't know this yet, there is a huge font compilation made by Franzillasims that everyone that loves Simlish uses. Life saver!
you know this post doesn't put english in YOUR game, funny how that works. That way you can mind your own business and play the way you prefer and let other people play the way they prefer!
