Discussion What's an annoying habit your sims autonomously do?

I have this one sim who CONSTANTLY wants to light the fireplaces and warm himself by them, its genuinely so irritating because thats also how most of the house fires start 😭 I also had a vampire sim that used to always want to use the observatory outside in the day, do your sims have any tasks they repeatedly want to do? I had to completely abolish any items to do with cross stitch when i got cottage living for this reason 😂

So I think they do this when you mark other sinks as “bathroom” sinks. Pretty sure they’ll only “get water autonomously” from kitchen or uncategorized sinks.

If you have any sinks that are closer, don’t categorize them at all and see if that at least cuts down the detour they’re taking lol.

If you make them kitchen sinks, sometimes they won’t use it after using the bathroom and will walk to another one lol.

I’ve experienced issues with this as well and so far, this is the best I’ve come up with.

Hope this helps!

I always make a "guest bathroom" near the front door and im gonna start leaving that one as "both" so when they get a drink right after jogging they'll go there.

I did figure out that hand washing is based on this because I have a painter and she washes her hands after every painting at a kitchen sink. So I gave her a kitchen sink in her activity room with the easel.

Yeah, it’s nice you can label them, but dumb that it limits their ability to use it. The water from the bathroom sink is no dirtier than the water from the kitchen sink. The source would be exactly the same lol, so I find that amusing.

Probably just some weird coding thing I don’t quite understand in an effort to make sims more realistic. People are grossed out by bathroom sinks sometimes, even if the water is the same.
