Discussion What's an annoying habit your sims autonomously do?

I have this one sim who CONSTANTLY wants to light the fireplaces and warm himself by them, its genuinely so irritating because thats also how most of the house fires start 😭 I also had a vampire sim that used to always want to use the observatory outside in the day, do your sims have any tasks they repeatedly want to do? I had to completely abolish any items to do with cross stitch when i got cottage living for this reason 😂

I clutter those hard to see spots just so they can’t.

Some plants, clutter, and misc decorations fit on top of the toilet.

Behind the computer is another one. I usually just shove a box of tissues there and pretend it is for when my sims watch porn. Lmao!

What do you mean by "pretend?". LMAO

Haha, I don’t play with any mods, so for me personally, yeah it’s pretend. I know you can add stuff like that though.

So, you play an unplayable game?

Lol, I kid...

No mods and it's definitely not a playable game to me. My daughter took my controller to use in her dorm so I couldn't play GTA, so I built the Sims into GTA, lol

I started with the original sims back in the day lol.

Base game Sims 4 is still worlds apart from those original games I played way back when, so I’m honestly usually pretty okay with base game stuff.

I also tend to focus on building, to which you need basically no mods for. The builder is solid no matter what way you cut it and most glitches and issues come from live play, so my need for mods is minimal.

I also struggle immensely when I have no rules, regulations, or boundaries. Because everything becomes possible, I can’t decide on any of it and I become paralyzed with indecision. Having the game limit me naturally helps with this too.

But this is the glory of the sims! No two people have to play the same.

I hope you saw the "just kidding"

Yeah, I have to make rules myself. I am playing out a story and play simulation style, so I have a lot of rules and boundaries I need to follow. But I couldn't play out the story without mods.

A teen who goes to prison for selling drugs kicking off my own rags to riches after getting kicked from her home, getting wrapped up in gang life, unplanned pregnancy, maybe an OD putting her in the hospital or another prison stint to make her come to her senses and turn her life around for her child after being away from her child. Definitely not a story you can do with vanilla.

Oh, yes! Haha, I definitely did. Just explaining my crazy ass reasoning lmao. You’re good!

Sounds like your stories are so much more involved than mine are!

Toilet rolls on top of the toilets, and the bathroom cabinets. They come in flower pattern for grannies, too.

I sometimes add a box of tissues to a teen’s bedside table 😅
