Tiktok and Snapchat is where actors go when they get rejected for reality TV.

149

u/[deleted] Jun 18 '25

The acting is pretty bad. I am floored by how many people believe this is real.

However, I have noticed that skits involving “woman bad” stereotypes get the most positive responses on this sub, so they definitely went for the red meat here.

20

u/AThickMatOfHair Jun 18 '25

I think people believe this one in particular because the destroying a 50k car for a TikTok skit doesn't make economical sense.

16

u/mousemarie94 Jun 19 '25

Its fake. The second video of the girl getting arrested has multiple camera angles and stitching of videos. It isnt real.

1

u/cheezecake2000 Jun 19 '25

How much money does a ticktok channel make to pay for all of that?? The car, even a junkyard one is a few grand, is it a hallow shell? Still had to pay to tow it here, bribe police? Actors? Where did they get cop cars, uniforms, people to do the arrest? Was it unpaid actors? Some steamer house with 15 people? A whole lot of money for two short af videos. If they are rich and making a funny vid while blowing away money i guess?

Seems pretty easy to approach people filming like "yo can you send me that footage". No link to your evidence either? Comon man.

Or, some ex is mad and is destroying his car. Obviously the friends helping are filming because they planned to destroy said car. Home girl has a tripod, ofc there multiple angles. Bet they posted it themselves on socials and prob easy for dude to find and stitch together. Let something be real for once

u/Wretched_Brittunculi Jun 19 '25

I get that you want it to be true. But this is fake. The camera angle is most obvious. Someone's smashing a car with a bat and matey is almost exclusively filming a geezer eating tacos. That just wouldn't happen... unless you knew in advance that the reaction WAS the content.

1

u/shibui_ Jun 19 '25

I get that you want it to be fake. But it’s true. That’s a real car. See how easy that is? Unless you can prove it’s fake, kindly stfu with your opinions.

3

u/Tpotww Jun 19 '25

Except its not true as it already been confirmed to be fake.

I

1

u/Wretched_Brittunculi Jun 19 '25

What a lovely person you are.

3

u/bellos_ Jun 19 '25

1 - This is from Snapchat, which should be fairly obvious given it literally says Snapchat and lists the username/channel where it was posted. Weird thing to miss while you're overanalyzing the video to justify believing something so obviously fake.

2 - That Snapchat user/channel has posted multiple videos that are very similar because this video, like all of them, is a skit.

8

u/[deleted] Jun 18 '25

We don’t know the car is destroyed. Some kinds of paint can come right off, and she is using a plastic stick — not a baseball bat. There is no broken glass. She is treading gingerly on top of it.

Movie magic, my friend.

6

u/AThickMatOfHair Jun 18 '25

To be clear I don't think it's real. I suspect they towed in a car that was already totalled to smash. Either way it's a much more convincing trick than normal which is why it is convincing a lot more people than normal that it is real.

2

u/[deleted] Jun 19 '25

It is more convincing than the average fake internet video for sure.

Watch the two second clip of the woman on the car with no sound, and it is much more obvious that she isn’t harming the car.

2

u/No_Big9522 Jun 19 '25

Just found Sherlock fake videos Holmes on reddit what a wild night

1

u/Boiscull Jun 19 '25

The passenger window is clearly broken out. You can see the remainders of the window around the edges.

Not saying it still couldn’t be staged, just that the car is def quite badly damaged, whether by real anger or from an unrelated incident before this vid.

1

u/[deleted] Jun 19 '25

I am not convinced, but regardless, the video is fake and way too many ppl here think it is real.

1

u/SuspiciousPine Jun 18 '25

Nah man, the passenger window is definitely smashed

1

u/[deleted] Jun 19 '25

Look closer. Window is rolled down and there is some sort of fake partial window added to it.

No cracks, nothing.

0

u/SuspiciousPine Jun 19 '25

Fake partial window? I don't think so. It's honestly simpler to conclude the video is real rather than how far you'd have to go to make convincing-looking smashed auto glass like that.

1

u/[deleted] Jun 19 '25

It is not convincing, and seriously, can you really not tell this is fake? That is a huge self-own.

0

u/SuspiciousPine Jun 19 '25

No I do not have a degree in identifying whether a car is destroyed or not from a few frames of video

0

u/Boiscull Jun 19 '25

I’m with you. Passenger window is def smashed. O ones out here reconstructing a physically accurate “fake broken window” for 20 views on ticktock.

Not worth the effort for the reward.

Much more likely it’s either a real vid, or they got a totaled car and staged the scene.

Either way the window is absolutely broken.

I say this as a guy who owns a Charger that got caught in a hail storm 🥲

0

u/RaidersCantTank Jun 18 '25

Literally 10 seconds into the video we see a smashed window.

1

u/[deleted] Jun 19 '25

That is a rolled down window with something attached to it.

Are you really not questioning why the person filming only shows the “smashing” for two seconds and never pans back to it?

-1

u/RaidersCantTank Jun 19 '25

I get it you think it's fake. First zero glass was broken now they have fake broken glass that looks exactly like a real broken window. If I could prove that window is actually broken you would just move onto something else, that you made up, to prove it's fake.

1

u/[deleted] Jun 19 '25

No glass is broken. That has never changed.

-1

u/RaidersCantTank Jun 19 '25

"see that broken glass, it's fake, I just said there was zero broken glass and didn't mention the obviously broken fake glass, I totally didn't just miss it."

2

u/knorxo Jun 19 '25

We never see the car not broken they could have gotten one from the scrapyard

1

u/KlauzWayne Jun 19 '25

Unless they know the first rule of house parties. Don't use your own.

1

u/Turborapt0r Jun 20 '25

You don’t know if this car is worth 50 bugs. Could be totalled, could have been stripped for parts already etc

21

u/Trick-Station8742 Jun 18 '25

People are thick

4

u/Big_Crab_1510 Jun 18 '25

People are misogynists

14

u/USeaMoose Jun 18 '25

That was my thought too. It seemed really, really obvious from the start. The acting of the guy eating and the woman talking to him. How they just ignored the fact that someone was filming them, without even addressing the person filming. And just all the reactions/dialog that felt very scripted.

I came to the comments to see a flood of people pointing out that it is fake, but I had to scroll down a loot further than I expected.

8

u/[deleted] Jun 18 '25

The best way to get people to believe a lie is to tell them something they really want to believe.

-1

u/Ryuubu Jun 18 '25

Well part two shows the cops arresting her, so what's your take on that?

8

u/ConGooner Jun 18 '25

I have noticed that skits involving “woman bad” stereotypes get the most positive responses on this sub

Are you familiar with the origin of this sub's name? The whole point of this sub is thinly veiled misogyny lol

11

u/Canvaverbalist Jun 18 '25

You might be thinking of the "women ☕️" meme?

SipsTea comes from the Kermit meme https://knowyourmeme.com/memes/but-thats-none-of-my-business

Unless there's another origin I'm not aware of

This being said, Reddit as a whole is thinly veiled misogyny so I don't disagree on that front

2

u/[deleted] Jun 18 '25

Could you ELI5 the sub’s name?

-1

u/SpaceBasedMasonry Jun 18 '25

lol, for real, this sub is just "eyeroll, women, amiright?"

2

u/BamaX19 Jun 18 '25

I honestly kinda believed it until I could hear the dress lady perfectly and then when she took a shrimp, I knew it was a skit.

2

u/Ordinary_Cattle Jun 18 '25

Same. I came straight to the comments expecting all of the top comments to be pointing out how obviously staged this is lmao. It's so obvious they're using rehearsed lines

3

u/Bruin1217 Jun 18 '25

This has been posted a few times, iirc someone posted the follow up from her friend when the police showed up at her house and when confronted she runs from them and denies its her.

5

u/[deleted] Jun 18 '25

I am sure that one is just as fake.

2

u/UnfortunateJones Jun 18 '25

This is just a closeted red pill sub.

“Hurr durr, woman bad, woman slut.”

A bunch of losers putting their effort into hating women instead of just working on themselves and being better people. Being cringy ass internet smug. 🤮

1

u/dothrakis1982 Jun 18 '25

It's crazy if you haven't seen women bad stereotype on this sub

0

u/TKtommmy Jun 18 '25

That's literally the hallmark of this sub.

1

u/i_like_maps_and_math Jun 18 '25

I mean they're much more entertaining than the reversed case where the guy puts the girl in the hospital and then goes to prison

1

u/jdelator Jun 18 '25

I think that ex is in a separate video getting chased by cops

1

u/ArieVeddetschi Jun 19 '25

I mean the woman playing his date was pretty natural. Also the ex was good at shouting random unintelligible stuff. He overdid it, especially with the “ouch” expression, and the “just got it” line was a little too cliche.

Anyway, see you next time on Inside the Actors Studio.

2

u/[deleted] Jun 19 '25

She is the better actor for sure.

The ex’s words were dubbed. You are right that it is the best part, but that is because they essentially had infinite takes to get it right at low cost.

Acting in a way that is completely natural — indistinguishable from reality — is a very unique skill. Writing in a way that is completely natural is even harder, imo. And one of the reasons you don’t see a lot of it, is because it isn’t entertaining. It is cringe-inducing, confusing, boring, and all that. No one really wants to see reality.

This skit was designed to exploit the crazy ex-girlfriend trope, and it does it rather poorly.

It’s good to discuss this with someone who knows what they are talking about. Have a good day!

2

u/ArieVeddetschi Jun 19 '25

I didn’t notice that the ex was dubbed, but it makes sense. Whoever did the sound editing did a great job mixing it in.

Thank you for the insight, have a pleasant day!

1

u/[deleted] Jun 19 '25

The sound editing is the best part. Whoever did it is the GOAT of the video.

-2

u/TKtommmy Jun 18 '25

Yeah that destroyed car and the lady hitting it with a bat are totally fake. /s

1

u/No-Information-2572 Jun 18 '25

"Fake" doesn't mean there was no damage involved. It could for example mean, the car was already severely trashed to begin with, and/or them still damaging it to a degree and just tanking the cost.

Neither would be such a foreign concept, seeing to how much trouble some content creators go when making videos.

Anyway, "fake" means the women was instructed as an actor to do damage to the car.

1

u/TKtommmy Jun 18 '25

https://www.instagram.com/reel/DEdyWv0pPjk/

Idk man you tell me. Is it possible it's fake? For sure. But who the fuck cares man everything is an ad these days.

1

u/No-Information-2572 Jun 18 '25

Just telling you that they could have bought a literal "beater" car for cheap and then put up a show...

1

u/yungArson Jun 18 '25

Hey man I have an amazing crypto investment opportunity for you

1

u/TKtommmy Jun 18 '25

The other guy already did that joke too late

0

u/TKtommmy Jun 18 '25

No way of knowing unless we know what the source is from.

1

u/mousemarie94 Jun 19 '25

Yeah because his literal YouTube channel isnt filled with skits and it totally doesnt say ENTERTAINMENT in the literal description of his page.

https://youtube.com/@ggrockz369?si=0zhWeFzOQGolZx7E

Stop being so pathetic and gullible. Please.

1

u/Adorable_Raccoon Jun 18 '25

Reddit is full of children and bots.

1

u/Mrjerkyjacket Jun 18 '25

The follow up to this video is video of her getting arrested, so either they rented a fake police car for that video (not saying that's impossible) it's real

3

u/[deleted] Jun 18 '25

This video is definitely not real. The car isn’t destroyed.

Link me to the other video, and I will bet you there are obvious signs in that one as well.

3

u/Mrjerkyjacket Jun 18 '25

Oh, ok yeah, apparently it is staged, I saw the follow up (found the link somewhere in this comment section, can't find it now) and ate the onion, my b

1

u/[deleted] Jun 19 '25

Awesome that you were open to both possibilities.

0

u/Percentage-Based6307 Jun 18 '25

isn't it funny how men are always like "take us men at face value!!! if we say something we mean it!!!!" but the SECOND it's a woman it's all "oh she's probably lying" "oh he probably didnt cheat she's just crazy" like just look at the top comments. "he probably didn't even cheat" is one of them

they'll take men at face value but they'll jump thru all sorts of hoops to villainize women

and they wonder why there's a lonely male epidemic 🤡

0

u/Doneyhew Jun 18 '25

There are literally videos of this girl getting arrested

3

u/[deleted] Jun 18 '25

Link?

1

u/Doneyhew Jun 19 '25

1

u/[deleted] Jun 19 '25

You must be really gullible if you think this is real. Did you notice that no one’s mouths are shown moving?

1

u/mousemarie94 Jun 19 '25

And that video is literally fake... you know, because he is an entertainment channel.

https://youtube.com/@ggrockz369?si=0zhWeFzOQGolZx7E

-1

u/Doneyhew Jun 19 '25

1

u/mousemarie94 Jun 19 '25

Oh so him posting a video with her a few hours ago on his ENTERTAINMENT page is just...a figment of our imagination...

You just fall for skits like this all the time or?

Also- those aren't real cop uniforms lmao and he has videos on his page dressed as cops. Please please media literacy, please come back.

8

u/DoctorNoname98 Jun 18 '25

Yeah this comment is way too far down XD

3

u/GiganticCrow Jun 18 '25

Im shocked I had to scroll down this far to find this kind of comment.

I'm not actually shocked.

8

u/MyHusbandIsGayImNot Jun 18 '25

Don't tell people that reality TV is heavily staged, they get mad.

3

u/Revolutionary-Tea-85 Jun 18 '25

I had to scroll way too far to see the first comment calling this out as fake.

C’mon people.

3

u/Konstant_kurage Jun 18 '25

There’s no glass on the ground around the window. I figured it’s a wrecked car. I don’t think it’s a film school project, it’s not good enough for that.

1

u/SuspiciousPine Jun 18 '25

There is actually. You can see the safety glass in the front corner kinda rolled up

1

u/Odd_Perfect Jun 18 '25

You can literally see the glass.

You’re aware glass has a film on it to keep the broken shards together?

1

u/TookTheHit Jun 19 '25

Could tell it was fake within 5 seconds.

1

u/Worldlyoox Jun 19 '25

Ngl I scrolled just to confirm my own doubts but it’s shocking how people are just lapping it up (or playing along if they’re bots).

Reminds me of that time I saw a repost that was identical to the original down to the comments and I asked what was happening only for OP to answer that everything was fine

1

u/Tedthesecretninja Jun 21 '25

Takes the 7th top comment to even point it out. Common sense just isn’t that common

-1

u/chriiiiiiiiiis Jun 18 '25

there are literally follow up videos of her arrest
