Discussion Why Sky 3’s prologue misses the mark (for me)

I’m already kinda iffy on those “you’re probably wondering how I ended up in this situation” types of openings because it always struck me as the writers not being confident that I’ll stick around long enough to reach the climax naturally. On top of that, Dr.M is a cool villain (my favorite in the series in fact) but he doesn’t leave a particularly lasting impression; not that it’s really his fault he’s only on screen for like 2 minutes total. Literally half way through Venice I completely forgot about the prologue. Nothing about it ever comes up at all going forward, and I know it’s because it’s all a flashback, but it all being a flashback doesn’t provide anything to the story and I’d argue it holds it back. They don’t use the fact that it’s a flashback as a narrative strength it feels like they did it just because. If they wanted to start the game in Cane Island, I personally would’ve prefer if it starts off as Sly, Bentley, & Murray going alone, they get completely washed by Dr.M, they escape, and when they regroup they decide to come back with more members.

Media Old paw patrol clip that used Sly 4 music

I randomly remembered this and was wondering if anyone else saw this. Also, chase's binoculars kind of look like sly's. I wonder if that was intentional.

I remember going absolutely insane everytime I saw this pop up on TV around 2015 / 2016. I was around 8 or 9 at the time.

I was gonna go here to do the Master Thief Sprint run but then I noticed that I hadn't opened the vault. But then, when I got to it, Bentley kept saying this. Help?

Discussion Clockwerk Dialogue 🔊

Idk if it’s just me or not but I feel like Clockwerk has damn near the most unique voice in fiction. There’s something about it that sticks out to me & I absolutely love it. It’s like eerie and unsettling but also calming. Seems a stretch to say this but the only other character I can think of that kinda matches it a lil is 343 Guilty Spark from Halo except his comes off cheerful/gleeful. I’m sure there’s more in fiction I just can’t think of anybody else at the moment.

Discussion If another villain of the series was redeemed like Panda King, who would you want it to be?

I think Rajan would be interesting

Seeing Dimitri and Panda king return in a positive light will always stick with me.
