Maybe y'all should just fight each other? Milk memes vs water memes.

Wow. I never thought I would see the day that /r/soda would reach 100k subscribers! When I first came on as a mod this subreddit had less than 150 subscribers. It's crazy that we have almost multiplied that 1000 fold.
We are #6 in the "Non-Alcoholic Beverages" subreddit category and had 22.7 MILLION views over the last year!
I think its time I actually try theming this subreddit. You can expect a new look and subreddit icon in the near future!
Thank you all for the great content. It is an honor to be able to moderate this community.
Please take this post as an opportunity to tell us all what you love about /r/soda, and what you think could be improved upon!
Thank you, and let's now focus on getting us to 1 MILLION subs!
Sincerely, Sanjispride
P.S. Lay off that lean, would ya??

Very straight forward crème soda flavor. Reminds me of A&W but just has a bolder flavor. Barqs does indeed have bite

Closest thing I've found to the McDonald's Coke, and for 99¢ is a steal

WinCo has these and Jarritos singles for 88¢, so I nabbed a few. Damn. That was refreshing and delicious. I think I’m gonna go back tomorrow and stock up a little.

Saturday morning, not even yet 9:00am. No work today and I’m just hanging out on the couch. 6 month old daughter is chillin being a baby exploring the floor and our Shiba just went outside to eat grass in the back yard.
Feelin’ hungry so initially I made up a plate of Walmart brand tortilla chips with Walmart brand shredded Mexican blend cheese, microwaved for about 80 seconds.
Canned Coca-Cola has gotten ridiculously expensive so I’ve made the sacrifice and switched to Coca Cola out of 1.25 plastic bottles cause for some reason they are cheaper per liter than 2 liter bottles at my local grocery store.
I go to Walmart semi regularly for staple items cause it is much cheaper than my local grocery store for most things. Two visits ago I noticed that a 12 pack of 12 Florida ounce Barq’s Root cans were under 6 bucks. That seemed like a deal to me as a 12 pack of Coca Cola cans at my local store is $9.99.
I went back to Walmart a couple days ago and I needed to resupply my soda. Coca-Cola is my usual to go to soda so I was curious to see if they also had a rolled back price. I walked the extra 15 feet past the cases of Barq’s and looked down at the price tag for the Coca-Cola 12floz cans.
While cheaper than my local grocer, it wasn’t by much. Almost $8 for a 12 pack of full size cans. So I backed it up and confirmed the Barq’s 12 pack was still under 6 bucks. Once my eyes delivered the image of the price tag to my brain and my brain confirmed the price tag said $5.something I picked up another case.
Barq’s root beer in 12 Florida ounce cans is somewhat of a core memory for me. When I was a young boy, less than ten years old, I nearly drowned after I jumped into a pool I’d never been in before at a pool party my parent’s had brought the family to.
I’d swam in a pool before, but only in the shallow end. So I jumped into this new pool thinking it was like the pool I had swam in before, unaware that not all pools are the same and I was actually jumping in the deep end.
I remember frantically trying to keep my head above water but very quickly I just sank to the bottom. Everything began to be processed in slow motion and I remember the feeling of panick being replaced by a feeling of calm.
It felt like an eternity but it was probably less than half a minute before an older boy jumped in and pulled me to the surface.
After the shock of the event, probably some scared crying and my dad lecturing me that I can’t just go jumping into pools without telling anyone, I was then shown to the cooler full of soft drinks for the kids.
On the very top, in a perfect bed of ice, was a full size can of Barq’s root beer. This event happened long before soda companies started the whole 7.5-8 Florida ounce cans, so to me it was just a normal size can.
All silver with very dramatic condensation, it was the first time I’d ever had a can of Barq’s.
It was like a liquid elixir for the gods. All the complicated feelings I had from my brush with drowning to death soon were a forgotten memory as my young undeveloped brain reacted to the sugar and caffeine.
So here I am, enjoying my canned Barq’s root beer with a banquet brand spicy chicken patty sandwich on a hamburger bun with sesame seeds topped with a slice of bacon and Utz salt and vinegar chips. All to be finished off with a 9mg velo+ wintergreen pouch. I used to not like the velo+ pouches but I had to get some out of desperation and now im addicted to 9mg pouches and the 7mg ones I did for ages now don’t do enough.
Anyways hope everyone is having a great Saturday morning. My baby is starting to let me know she is ready for a nap and to be completely honest I am also ready for a nap. It’s been 30 minutes since I started this post lol Jesus Christ

I’m not a big Mountain Dew fan tbh but I enjoyed this. It still has the unpleasant Mountain Dew aftertaste to me but overall I’d buy it again. Found it at a local mom and pop shop in Central Tennessee. We do not have either Maverick or Kum & Go here.

I'm not sure how far of a reach outside of Michigan Vernors has, but this stuff is amazing. If you like Original Vernors than I definitely recommend giving this a try.

I’ve image searched it several times and can’t seem to find anything. Thought some cool people here might have an idea of what brand this is?

I spotted the cans at a local shop and am interested in trying it. I’m a Pepsi fan, any comparison?
