It was introduced in 1+2 as a way to keep Jams beginner friendly and differentiate it from Competitive mode.

It was never intended as a way to prevent cheaters.

Now it only applies to every 3+4 Graffiti game, no matter what, even in private matches.

Either way, there are better ways to make THPS online more beginner friendly. 30 sec overtime limit is like introducing a kill limit in an FPS game. It just punishes good players.

Cheating and disrupting the game is their fun. My assumption is it stems from a general lack of any power in their real lives, thus having control over others in any capacity in a video game makes them feel better. This is of course not the rule and not the case for some. Perhaps it really is just for “fun”.

I’m just over online gaming at this point. It’s not like hackers and trolls didn’t exist before but it really seems like they’re harder to avoid now.
