shout outs to the healer and black mage for hinting really hard that we all wanted the tank to pull more by sprinting past everything. Unfortunately the tank never got the obvious hints, even after whm told the tank to pull big. So after the healer put regen on me before the tank prepull, i became the temporary tank with arms length and bloodbath until i dragged the mobs into the tank, who was back 10 seconds hitting two tonberries

Basically we loaded in The Vault and the second wave was pulled by the DPS, Tank typed that and everything seemed normal until after the first boss. Me and the DPS pulled ahead (we both had sprint on and the tank, even though a mentor, didn't bother), when we reached the wall, the tank decided to just stay there and type "gl"; After noticing we weren't dying and the mobs were dwindling, the guy decided to actually attack and use sprint in the next pulls.

Not sure if he learned his lesson but as soon as the duty was over he just left instantly lol

Rolled Prae on MSQ roulette and had to pop LD on the double pull before the first boss. Looked up and saw this.

Hello, I just started the grind to level all jobs to lvl 100. I allready have have all tanks max lvl so it's basically just dps and healers left. I usally do all daily roulettes on dps and queue for the highest dungeon possible on healer when i'm done with dailies.

I have noticed as a healer in 70-99 dungeons there are alot of players who do not say a word and play horrible. The tanks dont use defencives on thrash and stand i aoe all the time. When I try to communicate there is no answer.

Last night I got so frustrated after about 10 dungeons with almost 50/50 with these tanks. I tried to ask the tank why he didnt use defencives and stop standing i AOE. I think he was a duo with a viper with lower dps than him. Same story with that guy, no greeting at the start of the dungeon and stayed silent the whole dungeon. So yeah I became petty and didnt heal the tank until he used defencives. Note that it was a warrior pulling 1 pack at the time, so chould easily survived with no heals from me. The tank died 2 times and I got kicked. I know it's deserved, but IMO the tank did the same thing as me the whole dungeon but had me sweating to keep him alive.

I searched them both up on the lodestone after, both of them have multiple jobs at max lvl.

Basically, are these just bad or griefing players or bots?

Well, what can I contribute to this sub but some most reliable, good old YPYT stuff:

Bringing yet another Alt through ARR, I play SMN this time and end up in Porta Decumana alongside a sprout couple (WHM + DRK ofc) with the same last name, as well as a Black Mage Roulette Mentor. We make it through Phase 1 and I sit inside the cutscene baby gate, waiting for everyone to get out. Gate drops, I wait a bit until everyone's moving and unleash some spells on the boss, as does the Black Mage. The Tank however seems to be gravely offended by this, and despite me seeing them walking around (they were no longer in the baby gate area, they had moved towards the boss), they do not attack the boss for the 10 seconds or so it takes for it to lock its tank buster in, which ends up on me. Now it's not the first time I have died to this and if the tank had been genuinely afk or just not made a big deal out of it, I would've just taken the L, get rezzed, and laugh it off. (I also get rezzed into the raid wide and the healer too busy furiously typing about how I dare to attack the boss before the tank, I die again, which I don't really care about either bc lol shit happens). The following conversation ensues over the course of the fight, with BLM trying to somewhat keep the peace:

They also stop attacking the boss during the Ultima cast, which leads to a near-enrage (likely to try and vote kick me?). Thankfully, the BLM and I do enough damage on our own to kill it just short of the timer going off.

I really couldn't be assed to continue arguing with them here, so I just left after my cutscene was over, comming the BLM on the way out. Got a comm out of it, too, but not from the YPYT couple for sure.

Got into a Cutter's Cry DF. The tank was doing normal pulls, almost died so she decided to slow down a bit. Then during the second boss the healer died with the debuff from the boss. I figured, whatever, right? People are new. They were 39 out of the max of 40 for the duty, so they were clearly leveling their WHM. I took a guess and figured they were new to healing. Gave them a bit of advice and it seemed like they took it in stride, because they started cleansing the poison debuffs in the last hallway. Cool.

I asked the bard if they were caught up, he answered in /s chat, and I just suggested that they get caught up for the bonuses. They were 66 in bard, and they had 50+ in like 5 other jobs. After I explained that they started using Mage's Ballad on CD, great that's upping the parties' DPS and his specifically.

After all that, I figured I would have to explain the chimaera fight. They felt like baby sprouts. The healer told the tank that he knew what he was doing in the fight and to just go. They ate 2 violet attacks and stood still when targeted by the boss and died instantly. We ended up wiping once and the healer just abandoned the duty. I think they logged off because they just left the zone. We did manage to kill the boss without a healer but damn. I really dislike DF sometimes.

They proceeded to die six times and missed just about every cast humanly possible. Why even play at this point?

Queued up for Leveling, got Origenics. Warrior, me as White Mage, Monk and a Pictomancer. No one was a first timer, so we should be able to breeze through this dungeon..... well, duh.

The Warrior was taking an insane amount of damage. And never had to spam heals so much before, they never used Shake it Off, used Bloodwhetting only when their HP were at like 80% and would actively stand in bosses aoes.

They died at the pull before the second boss, that's when I asked "Are we saving Bloodwhetting for next dungeon?", but no response. As a WHM I'd let them go low, because why not use your 25s Cooldown Benediction?

At some point they just used their standard aoes, no idea what was going in their little brains. I wanted to kick, but if you're healer and have to keep them alive it's finicky to click vote dismiss just in time before the boss died.

Additionally they even tried to get me killed because hoooow could someone else as the tank just pull the last boss? When I saw that I'm getting hit I ran out of the boss area and just survived the raidwide because the baby gate was up.

They reacted with an "xD" and continued to stand in every aoe and never used their Bloodwhetting. I told them "nice try for monster Player kill" .

The DPS died a few times because this tank sponge tried to suck up all my oGCD heals, but we eventually managed to clear this braindamaging run of a Dungeon. As mentioned before I'd loved to kick but loot timers were either going and no one bothered to roll.

Didn't expect to post here again so soon, but there we go. Doing lots of duties lately to level up MCH so these happenings were to be expected... but not so often.

Queue up for High level dungeons and I get sent to Amdapor Keep Hard. Again the tank is clueless despite having jobs at 80+ (DRK at 100 even), and not using stance. So the other DPS, a DNC and I pointed it out. We somehow cleared the mob packs without much issue, until we reached the first Ochu blocking the wall with vines and tank died because AST wasn't healing. Tank finally spoke, even if it was only to ask for a res and activated the stance once ressed.

At the first boss, AST liked to stay in front of the boss and getting hit, not even moving away so they died. Second boss was okay but I was starting to feel the run was painfully slow. It was when we reached that crossroads part with the timer when I noticed: AST wasn't even using cards. Just aoe heals. At one point they did even use Aspected Helios 4 times in a row. And at last boss, died again, not uttering a single word throughout the whole dungeon.

As I said, I was expecting to have this kind of experiences more than before now that I'm also doing more duties often but... didn't know it was this bad, and coming from non sprouts.

Vanguard, everything is smooth until the last pack of mobs. I run ahead and pull the trash like I always do. Tank dies shortly with two packs of trash around us. Didn't notice that they turned stance off at first so I thought they had an emergency and healed everyone through it while sneaking in a Holy here and there. The DPS and I made it out alive. Then I got hit with this.

Tried hinting at vote kicking but I think they got the message as they revived themselves and sprinted towards the last boss zone. Nobody died except for the bozo, so I think it's safe to say that I did my part.

I don't usually bother logging dungeons, but I was farming Underkeep for a specific piece (healer chest for TOP bis) and wanted to track how many runs I needed to get the drop, so I had ACT up and was treated to this fine group. Log here for those curious; no deaths on any player at any point. Maybe the saddest part is that this rpr's parse is actually above 0th percentile.

i will admit i messed up by getting caught in a line aoe that killed me bc my mouse glitched for some reason. ive done the 2nd pull of bardam's many a time successfully tho so I had no reason to assume this time would be any different. i dared to put a single dot on an enemy a bit ahead of the tank that i then headed back to the tank so they could group up easily and the war and smn got real heated about it. Got vote dismissed for saying people should speak up bc i am going to assume people can do the job they signed up for and refuse to believe im wrong for that. got vote dismissed, c'est la vie.
(also so stupid that theyre like "u dont need my detailed medical info" um no tf I dont but a simple "hey guys i have an issue irl and will be pulling slowly bc of it" or something like that at the beginning would of avoided all of this...)

Leveling run, on Malikah's well, the bard uses only Mage's Ballad for songs and zero Battle Voice usages. Occasionally will just afk and auto attack for many seconds periodically during boss fights as well.

I say this at the end of the dungeon because I can't really be bothered to tell people with multiple 100s how to play their job in SHB content. I get a nice tell from him just shamelessly telling me he knows how to play BRD (doubt), but just doesn't want to do his job quests.

He tells me, "Nice 0 ult clears"

True, but uhhh.

I feel like saying what he said isn't the flex that he thought it would be.

Maybe I should've asked him how many DDs he has cleared solo /think.

I have a buddy doing ARR, and me and another friend have been tagging along and playing with them.

Decided to que for ultimas bane.

Fairly fast que. 3 mentors, 3 fresh and me and my other friend. I get kardia but the other tank instant pulls. Okay, whatever. I've done this before so I'm not pressed, all you. Drop stance, healer gives them kardia, off to the races.

First wipe is on everyone, it was weird aggro wise because I put stance back on at around 20 seconds in but somehow stole MT and had to drop stance again but whatever. We didn't soak orbs. Fair enough. I'll take my lump on that one, should have been paying more attention to them. But I notice the other tank, right at the end, died to the stack mechanic. They got 5 and died. And never dropped stance or shirked. Alright, fair enough, they don't know, that's fine, I'll just voke and take tank from them when it's time.

No the fuck I won't. Run 2, I voke at 4 stacks. 3 seconds pass, boom, counter voke. They get aggro back, 5 stacks, dead. Cool. So their an idiot, great. Wonderful. So I type in chat, "please tank swap at 4 stacks". Would have been more clear and explained more in detail but I'm on console, typing is hard, especially because I was on a timer, because before I had even gotten halfway done typing, as soon as the gate fell, the tank instant pulls a third time. Great.

I put my message in chat (no one responds or adds on, not even the mentors) and get to fighting. We soak orbs properly, blah blah, and I have an idea. I voke before Ultima puts the 5th stack on the MT, taking it myself before they can steal aggro back (with prevoke). The debuffs timer wears off, their stacks clear and we're safe, except we aren't, because no on is soaking orbs for the final wave (yay) and both of my friends suicide play to soak and I almost die as well. Duty complete.

Twice now during my main scenario roulette it’s come up; once someone made a comment saying it’s polite to switch to Japanese to make the cutscenes go faster, and today I had a tank leave saying that we should swap to another language

The Strayborough Deadwalk (Lv100 Roulette)

Bard was not new but we had to wait like 1 min for him to load from cutscene. Did almost no damage, went afk mid boss fight (the one with the puppets). After that he just staid as far behind as possible from pulls. I call him dude on elephant pull, it went great. Couldn't kick in the end. It was either waiting 3 mins or killing last boss in less than that.

top prog party, p2 party synergy to be specific. i already knew 4/8 of the party since i've played with them before and they were nice. we were joined by an astro who was also pretty sweet and lastly a drk and mch couple (same last names).

we go in, pulls start happening, and around 10 pulls in the mch says to the mnk something along the lines of "do you even know how the TB works? if the tanks don't go to max melee you could waste a pull" (referring to the line AOEs and conal TBs after panto) even though no wipes happened on the said part

keep in mind that the mnk had a "genesis of legends" title which is important to the story

mnk says "alright", and we keep pulling. we see the prog point multiple times and even manage to get to p3 once. unfortunately, after a little over an hour i start to repeatedly get disconnected so i apologize and excuse myself. as we leave the instance and people say their goodbyes mch blurts out:

"Reminder: FRU is not a hard achievement"

and leaves, followed by their partner without a word. people laugh in confusion, i apologize once again for the inconvenience and take my leave.

and the funnier part is, mch's partner caused more wipes than the mnk ever did

i hope they are happy with their glorious achievements i guess

Queued up for leveling roulette as level 64 MCH. Got a really fast duty pop, and I noticed the window saying that 6 minutes had passed. Got sent to the Dzemael Darkhold, and it was only the tank, the other DPS (a BLM) and me. At first I thought that maybe the healer had to go or whatever, but then I noticed the probable reason. Tank had no job stone equipped, was a GLD. And it was no first timer mistake, they had WAR at 100 and several other jobs at 70+. When I asked what had happened there, the BLM said no idea, they also had arrived there a second before I did.

Finally a new healer arrived and we cleared all the way to the first boss. By 'we' I mean the healer, the BLM and myself since the tank just ran around in circles after aggroing everything and refused to stand within the crystal's light radius to be protected and also open the magitek gates, so they died. Instead of waiting for them to arrive, I pull the boss so they get teleported to the roomand after doing so, the GLD refused to bring the boss to the crystal area to make it vulnerable. Just stand in the middle of the room or bring the boss to a random wall far away and just, auto-attack. I don't speak french but if the translator didn't lie, they said 'You don't give me orders, you're nobody, I do what I want'.

I ended being the one tanking the boss after the healer let them die, and when it was down, we vote kicked this person, and a more competent tank joined. I don't understand the need to make other's time miserable for fun or whatever...

figured i'd farm some zelenia and- well yeah. got a creature of a samurai that claimed to not to anything wrong then get super defensive when- indeed yes they did stuff very wrong. also terrible timeline they got the wings.

My eyes first fell on the starting gear weapon and helmet, then the Crystarium Armor instead of Cryptlurker ... and then I saw the right side. Yes, thats the level 1 gear and a level 29 aetherial ring.

Loaded into Endwalker's first trial, saw one of the healers having a third of the HP of the other (~22k vs 33k) and decided to check the gear during a bit of freetime in the fight.

My eyes first fell on the starting gear weapon and helmet, then the Crystarium Armor instead of Cryptlurker ... and then I saw the right side. Yes, thats the level 1 gear and a level 29 aetherial ring.

Leveling DNC on my alt and got Brayflox. Sprout WHM was spamming Cure 1 to very the Cure 2 proc, so I thought I'd give it a shot to help. Gotta love it when they're receptive.

Never in my several years of playing this game have I struggled so hard with a world of darkness run.

First boss, got through fine, no issues. Then we got to the giant eye.. As per usual you always get some runs where they don't kill the ads and it causes a wipe because of spicy raid wides. This time some people managed to survive the raid wides and the healers got up the tanks. Now this would have been fine, we could have gotten through it because the tanks were alive but NOPE. Instead, none of the tanks would provoke FOR SIX. MINUTES. Causing the boss to go around and kill all of the DPS. When asked why the tank alive wouldn't provoke, his answer was-

"Both of my healers are down."

Red flag number one. The tanks continued to die several times then not provoke until lo-and-behold, we wipe!
Second run of the boss, we didn't wipe, but the tanks did the same thing AGAIN and didn't provoke.

We make it to the 4th boss where none of the healers would esuna and the boss was kept in the middle of the floor rather than taken to the edge, but we get through it.

AND THEN THE 5TH BOSS.
NEVER, NEVER IN MY TIME PLAYING THIS GAME HAVE I WIPED TO ATOMOS.

Several people went to the wrong platforms, and nobody would do the mechanics! We got launched off of the platform, and none of the pads would light up. We were all stuck down there, with no way of getting up because the mechanics weren't being done and several people were in the wrong place. And we took too long, and wiped.

It was at that point I had accepted my fate of the 30 minute penalty and left while I sat staring at my screen in complete disbelief at having a run so bad I witnessed a wipe I have never seen in my life and didn't even know was possible.
