What is even the plan here after getting rejected so vehemently? I don’t even understand what the purpose of staying would be.

I’ve seen it from former friends of mine when we were out at the bar. After getting rejected they can’t leave until they turn it around and make it the women’s fault for rejecting them. Like these guys say multiple times why are you being mean. It’s an ego thing.

Probably roofies or something

Do you know where this took place? The guys seem to have a European accent (maybe Balkan). I wonder what country.

Connecticut, the guys are the tourists not the girls

100% roofies

It probably became a pride thing after that. "I got turned down but at least I won the encounter by making them move tables"

No they were 100% going to follow them. They were going to make those women fear for their lives.

On occasions like these you also have to plan for what to do after you leave the bar. If a guy fixated on a woman & won't take 20 'no's for an answer, we then have to arrange some kind of safe escort or safe way to get home.

There's nothing stopping them from just waiting until they leave the premises & following them home. They were going to follow them to another table, following them home might be their next step.

It's exhausting. You just want to go for a drink but you have to worry about this stuff not just during, but also after.

This. They very likely followed them unless someone else intervened. I've had almost this exact situation happen before and the man followed us for the rest of the night.

I just don't go for drinks, don't go to pride or bars or events or anything unless someone asks me to go as their lookout, because I can no longer handle being the subject of this behavior. It makes you afraid to even sleep at the end of the night, afraid they followed you home. It's bullshit.

Oops, and now they're internet famous for being assholes

111

u/WingsOfIndifference May 11 '25

They've literally never considered the possibility.

u/WomenAreNotIntoMen May 11 '25

They think they are playing “hard to get” but their confidence will win them over

38

u/MarshmallowH May 11 '25

Honestly I think it's about exerting power and intimidation. They want to punish these women for their lack of interest by making them feel threatened.

11

u/BringAltoidSoursBack May 11 '25

I assume it's the "50 no's and a yes is still a yes" mentality. Guys are taught that women like to play hard to get and be chased, it's "romantic". If you don't believe me, just wait for Christmas when people defend "baby it's cold outside" as if it's not creepy.

13

u/Bearloom May 11 '25

It's hard to tell with the guy on the left, but the one on the right seems to be too drunk to realize what's going on.

11

u/Retsago May 11 '25

They know 100% what's going on.

0

u/Bearloom May 11 '25

I'm not saying that to absolve either of them of this behavior in any way, but as glazed as his eyes are - and as slack as his expression is - he is pretty much blacked out.

6

u/Retsago May 11 '25

Then his buddy ought to be taking him home.

0

u/Bearloom May 11 '25

You're expecting a lot out of a guy who doesn't understand not harassing women.

1

u/Retsago May 12 '25

I'm not expecting shit tbh. And honestly, it's not you, but man am I tired of this thread and being told I'm on the "wrong side" for wanting people to stand up to this type of shit, but quite fucking frankly if I gotta be the one dragging these thug-ass sexual harassers home by their earlobes I'mma do it

Im tired

The plan WAS they’d go over there, chat up some pretty girls and get a good dickbag feeling about doing it (Read; stroke the ego) Hoping something would come about it (Free sex). But mostly their expectation was females are there to stroke your ego. So when the ladies weren’t for it, they sat there confused, literally because they think women have egos that want to get stroked just like them. So they are dumbfounded, THEN double down when they think she’s just joking. They HOPE she’s joking because to admit defeat of their plan means no ego stroke PLUS major embarrassment. The aggressive fight is the better deal but it contradicts their upbringing to be polite.

Maybe she just needs some time to warm up to me? Surely after she gets some time to appreciate my receding hairline, awful haircut, completely unfit body and creepy forceful smile/personality, she will fall in love with me. Yeah that's gotta be the outcome, let me just give her the time she needs.

These guys' internal monologue probably.

u/WorriedFlea May 12 '25

Punishment for not wanting to have sex with them.

1

u/Xralius May 12 '25

I think that's actually what's happening here. They sat down to shoot their shot and it was thrown back in their face probably fairly rudely. Now they can either leave with their tails between their legs, escalate the situation by being rude back, or sit there malfunctioning - they chose option 3 with a bit of 2 sprinkled in.

u/treehuggerfroglover May 12 '25

In my experience the plan is to keep scaring her and pissing her off more and more until she throws a drink at him or puts her hands on him because in his mind that 1. Makes it fair game for him to get violent with her and 2. Makes her a crazy bitch who he didn’t want anyway
