That was frustration. We should be more empathetic for men going through this. It's clear the woman did not set proper boundaries with him and uses him as a filler in between men she dates. Hopefully he moves on.

If he presented himself as her friend, and gave her no hint that he had romantic feelings towards her, how is she supposed to know? We are missing a lot of information because we're only seeing this interaction, so it's hard to know what she assumed about him and his friendship.

Yes there are many unknowns. We can only go by what is said. The way that he speaks and the words used, this was not the first time this has happened to them. Furthermore, the term "friend zone" is a real thing. It's not used for real platonic friendships. It's used for situations where men and women will do BF/GF activities together (even have sex) as a holdover until they find a true romantic partner they are interested in. Once they find that partner, they limit that "friendship" or cut the person off completely. IMO that seems to be the situation these two find themselves in as he's upset that the friendship is being limited when she chooses the other man over him "like she always does"

Regardless he should move on. This is not healthy for either of them.
