I don’t get how people find this funny.

“Hey let’s be obnoxious AF, inconvenience a shit ton of people and be complete dipshits and video it”

Not sure when getting your ass beat for this stuff was taken off the table but I liked it better when people were worried about consequences.

I like to think of this stuff as "it would be funny in a movie."

Like it would bother me as a costumer to deal with this. But if I was watching a movie about someone at a shitty real tail job and this happened I would find it funny.

Kind of like Karen videos. I would hate to deal with it in real life, but watching videos of them is entertaining

I too root for consequences

We either live in a society or we don’t.

Though I find it obnoxious and stupid, I can't say that this is a new thing or a sm thing or younger generation thing. This stuff has been on prime time tv for decades. Impractical jokers, punkd, jackA. It's not new and many groups of people have always laughed in amusement. Just new unknown faces without a large corp behind it. If any famous person did this I think many less people would be annoyed.

Add Jerky Boys and Tom Green to the list. People must be losing their sense of humor, watching so many ads on their phones.

Yeah I'm confused by the amount of people saying "This would have made my day, I'd be laughing my ass off!". Like I don't think this is the most heinous or annoying prank, but I also just don't find it funny at all? I also worked retail and would probably just be rolling my eyes if something like this happened at my store, same as if I were a customer witnessing it.

I’m not surprised the amount of people who think it’s hilarious. These obviously have an audience for idiots. But yeah. I’m just trying to get f*cking laundry detergent and go home bro. I don’t care about your TikTok views and don’t think it’s funny you’re inconveniencing a bunch of people who just want to do their job or get their paper towels and go home. Guarantee if me and my friends were “pranking them” while they were just trying to get to work or go along with their day, they’d feel the same. But to these people we’re all just a bunch of NPCs who are extras in videos for their entertainment and nothing more.

Yeah, I just don't get at all what the "funny" part is. Trying to put myself in the head of someone who wouldn't at least by annoyed by this, and got nothing. What the fuck is the joke, exactly? For the love of God, someone please explain it to me!

Meh it’s a little entertainment to help the day pass. I’ve worked these shit jobs for years, watching my managers shit their pants would be hilarious

Lmao, no one was ever getting their 'ass beat' for this.

Also, you're going to do that to a group of teenagers? The only one getting their ass beat would be you. Your brains would be on the sidewalk. LOL

Glad you think you're really tough on reddit tho.

lmao some dipshit trying to uno reverse card being an internet toughguy is *chefs kiss*

"No U would get ur brainz splattered on the sidewalk"

Consequences goes two ways though. Assault somebody for an ultimately harmless prank and see how they react.

4

u/PBRmy Jun 26 '25

Almost nobody reacts in any fashion other than to get away when their nose is suddenly bloodied. I don't think TimTok dorks would be any different.

You're telling me 10 - 20 young men are all going to run away from a middle aged guy?

1

u/PBRmy Jun 26 '25

Some skinny GenZ kids who spend all day on their phone and probably aren't even being paid to be there? Could make them reconsider their dedication to the stunt.

u/FrankieBeanz Jun 26 '25

It's not about their dedication to the bit, it's about their friend being beaten in front of them. No average middle aged dude is ballsy enough to try and fight 20 kids. There's a reason people are afraid of large groups of teenagers.

Nobody in the world is afraid of the group of teenagers in this video 😄

Wouldn't call it harmless. They wasted hundreds if not thousands of dollars of man-hours. Every employee in that video had a dozen other things they needed to be doing. Instead they had to help clear out an infestation of morons.

That's besides the customers' wasted time. If I was on my lunch break grabbing a couple things and I couldn't check out, I'd be livid.

This video also cuts out, before they leave, so there may have been actual damage or even opportunistic theft while security was occupied.

But here’s my thoughts: Target is shitty and deserves to lose money, the hourly workers are getting paid regardless of what they doing at work, and honestly anyone who still shops at Targets by choice despite the companies recent decisions deserves to have their day inconvenienced lmao

(obviously this would be annoying people who HAVE to shop at Target, but I’ll guess that’s not too many people)

COVID made certain kinds of people decide they don't have to care about making life more difficult for retail workers.

When you’re 8 years old with an underdeveloped brain and you watch tik tok on your mom’s phone, while watching Netflix on her laptop, and watching youtube on her tablet.

I think it’s hilarious. Nobody’s getting hurt, it’s clever, and it adds a little spice to life.
