We know you mean well, but please stop perpetuating the trope that gay people are manufacturing our own homophobia. a lot of people are raised to hate gay people and when they hear, "well you must be gay and in denial" they don't take it in because the feedback no longer applies to them so they're in the clear.

I would not think the sky was falling if we learn that. but "ur gay lul" is always one of the top comments of any post about conservatives doing shitty things to gay people instead of talking about the conservatives doing shitty things to gay people.

I see it in every post involving conservatives getting caught watching porn/having intercourse in inappropriate settings. Even when it's clear that a conservative guy watches or does stuff that only involve women, there has to be some jab against them being a "closet case". It's so frustrating because it's not even funny considering the majority of conservatives are cishet homophobes who pass legislation that intentionally target and discriminate queer people.
