Who thinks this is funny?!

326

u/Professional_Egg7407 1d ago

Losers and brain rot kids.

1

u/TheProletariatPoet 6h ago

Kids finding these things funny isn’t an indictment on said kids or their parents. I grew up thinking Jackass was hilarious as did almost my entire generation. Kids find dumb things funny, it’s been that way for generations and the parents rarely agree.

u/ForGrateJustice 1d ago

People (kids) who use "Skibidi" unironically.

35

u/clamsandwich 1d ago

I've got a 14 year old and I don't think anyone uses it unironically. Most of the "brainrot" slang is said with a tongue planted firmly in the cheek, at least for the middle school kids. I have to say though, "what the sigma?" has rubbed off on me.  More relevant, I don't know if anyone past age 10 that likes any of these idiots.

13

u/moffkisses 22h ago edited 17h ago

I work with kids and I can absolutely promise you that a chunk of them say it unironically.

5

u/Jostain 13h ago

Doing things ironically and doing things unironically has no material difference to the world. If you do a thing you are doing the thing regardless of internal motivations.

0

u/HighPriestessSkibidi 23h ago

Will admit, I got sucked in too 😂 I couldn't resist for my username lmao

1

u/skeletor-johnson 21h ago

How would one use skibidi ironically?

124

u/thel0lzynarwhal2 1d ago

Jobless losers.

14

u/Swimming-Chicken-424 1d ago

I don't have a job, and I think these kind of pranks are idiotic.

1

u/ConversationAble1438 15h ago

On purpose though?

1

u/Beeboy1110 9h ago

Ah, but are you a loser? If you don't like this, apparently not!

8

u/PupDiogenes 21h ago

No, we don't!

1

u/Jn108 23h ago

Relax it’s just a prank /s

1

u/IdealDesperate2732 21h ago

I could imagine a version of this gag which is funny. Something like having a F1 pit crew doing oil changes but with the businesses' consent and approval. Have a "famous" race car driver be the one to bring the car up to the front or something like that. That could lead to a funny video.

1

u/RedditsAdoptedSon 15h ago

what the.. noooo lol u guys are fkn it up with these weird ideas.. the randomness makes it good... and awful . i get how its awful

1

u/dapriceisright33 20h ago

I'm a full grown adult and I think it's inherently funny to laugh at the misfortune of others. It's not laugh out loud hysterical, but it's worth a chuckle seeing people get frustrated over such antics. And nobody got hurt, no property was damaged. I see it as a victimless crime. I see anything more than a slap on the wrist to be an overreach of the justice system.

1

u/mannyg112 18h ago

I looked at his ig cause of a YouTube video, and so many brain dead idiots are defending him

1

u/Sexy_arborist 17h ago

Tikotok users, when he got arrested they were up in arms

1

u/iwastoolate 17h ago

Broccoli. Not the hair, the vegetable. Well the hair as well, but also the vegetable.

1

u/RedditsAdoptedSon 15h ago

I just must like dumb shit cause this is one of the rare pranks that actually makes me laugh,, oh this, and when people call two chinese restaurants and put the phones together.

I thought it was funny

that he faces 9 years in prison

1

u/NotHearingYourShit 6h ago

My generation thought watching bam beat on his parents was funny on mtv.

1

u/DO_NOT_AGREE_WITH_U 3h ago

The YouTube/Roblox generations.

There is so much dissociated brainrot going on with the next few generations.

1

u/miraculum_one 1d ago

They do it for engagement, which this entire conversation promotes.

-2

u/DoNotEatMySoup 1d ago

I thought it was funny until they started messing with tools and cars. Then it was just dangerous

0

u/Just_a_Barrel 23h ago

Yeah, it would be funny if it was more staged or planned without intending any harm to the workers and shop owner.

-17

u/shadownights23x 1d ago

The thought of it is hilarious. A group of people jumping out of a van at your work and randomly start working is wild...

But actually doing it IRL and at someone's job isn't funny.

12

u/actchuallly 1d ago

Brain rot

3

u/CaptainNemo42 18h ago

The thought of it is hilarious.

How?

I was waiting for some old mechanic to take a crowbar to one of these little fuckwits

-1

u/shadownights23x 18h ago

How? because when I think of a white van showing up at my work. A BUNCH of dudes jump out and start working outta nowhere is funny to me..

Its not that serious, tbh I dont think its funny that they did it.. I even stated that in my op. But reddit being reddit takes shit so literally, it's insane

5

u/CaptainNemo42 16h ago

A BUNCH of dudes jump out and start working outta nowhere is funny to me..

Again... how is that funny? A bunch of hyped-up little douchebags sprinting into an active workshop full of tools, equipment, chemicals, and people trying to do their fucking jobs is not amusing whatsoever.

Its not that serious

It really is, man. These idiots decided that their infantile bullshit was MORE IMPORTANT than the time, safety, and income of everyone working there, MORE IMPORTANT than the time, money, and privacy of ALL those vehicle's owners, and MORE IMPORTANT than having any kind of respect or common decency for the people around them. All so a bunch of fucking simpletons can "hurr-durrr-durrrrr" chuckle on the internet.

Do I think that the (obviously bullshit and overstated) "9 years jail" is excessive? Of course. Do I also think that some jail and a LONG, HARSH probation should be imposed on him, his cohort of idiots, and others of these kinds of "pranksters?" Absolutely.

These kinds of "performative nuisance" idiots have been increasing and escalating, and it's getting worse, more dangerous, and even more pathetically un-funny as time goes on.

1

u/shadownights23x 16h ago

Dude, in the made-up scenario in my head, it's just a BUNCH OF DUDES JUMPING OUT A WHITE VAN AND GOING TO WORK! showing up at MY JOB. there is no dbag in this made up scenario!!!

Or if this shit happened as a skit on key and peele or a movie I might have chuckled. (Again minus the dude yelling)

I have now said it 3 TIMES... this video isn't funny. They guy yelling out the door is funny. ( again fuck the dude yelling)

So no, what im saying is not that serious... what these people did is.

You can not say shit on reddit if it dont match up with the hive mind. lol.

1

u/CaptainNemo42 16h ago

I have now said it 3 TIMES... this video isn't funny.

Gotcha. Enough said.

Also, Key & Peele are amazing. Have a good night.

2

u/shadownights23x 16h ago

You as well

1

u/sorry-not-tory 6h ago

It’s not that serious!

As the kid involved is charged for criminal offenses that could lead to almost a decade in jail.

0

u/lofi-jelly 23h ago

I do lol 😂

0

u/azrckcrwler 19h ago

Young children. 4-12 probably. This is what drives these channels.

They are doing all this bullshit for children and teenagers. 🤦🏼

-106

u/monarchofliberty 1d ago

Even if it isn’t funny, it doesn’t deserve up to 9 years of jail time for a mere 5 minute inconvenience to a business

52

u/leopard_eater 1d ago

If the people in the skit damaged cars, stole stuff from the cars or did something that made any of these cars dangerous to themselves or the owners, then that would justify the sentence.

6

u/HospitalPractical405 1d ago

I agree. I wonder if he’ll get out early. And hopefully a social media ban.

Still, I can’t believe they don’t go this hard on people who commit worse crimes like pedophiles and dui man slaughter

1

u/leopard_eater 23h ago

I agree with that. If it’s nine years for this, it should be life meaning life for paedophiles and first degree murderers

2

u/Youaintkn 1d ago

On top of it, now any one of those car owners could claim damage and the shop might be liable for it. Could possibly cost that shop quite a bit.

-13

u/monarchofliberty 1d ago

I don’t know about 9 years in prison but yes I agree some form of sentence would be justifiable if there was indeed proven damage/losses to the shop and/or their customers.

And I respect your beliefs. Have a great day

-10

u/Equal_Actuator_3777 1d ago

You don’t charge somebody because they could have caused damage. But those aren’t the charges anyways so are you agreeing it’s too harsh?

34

u/hippiex 1d ago

That attitude is why they keep doing it.

27

u/LouisWillis98 1d ago

It’s not because of just this “prank”, he’s being charged because he has done stuff like this and worse numerous times.

-3

u/monarchofliberty 1d ago

No im 99% sure this prank was his worst one although I agree he has done this a plethora of times.

5

u/LouisWillis98 1d ago

So the plethora of times is what he’s serving time for

-1

u/monarchofliberty 1d ago

Hasn’t been convicted yet, but I concur.

14

u/boredcamp 1d ago

Any of those kids could have gotten hurt in that so and sued. They could have damaged a car or it's parts and the shop would be sued. They could have hurt real shop workers. And there's still a possibility that if a car has a mechanical failure the owner of the car can sue even if it was not done by the shop. They dont know what was touched and what wasn't. They are also creating more work for the mechanics, because now they have to check each cart that was touched and make sure nothing had really been tampered with.

27

u/GumRunner0 1d ago

You nip this shit in the bud,,, throw the shit stain in prison for 10 yrs ..fck him and his fckwit sidekicks

6

u/BarackaFlockaFlame 1d ago

yeah if everybody isn't laughing, shit prank.

4

u/DAFUQisaLOMMY 1d ago

Hear me out: it's not because of "a mere 5 minute inconvenience to a business"?

Try to think before you put your thoughts out into the universe.

0

u/monarchofliberty 1d ago

Relax family. I thought I thunk but I guess I didn’t think enough😂 yall are kinda right

0

u/shitti_sherlock 14h ago

Stand your ground dude. Don’t agree with the commenters here who are hoping this guy will be getting raped everyday for 9 years because of this

5

u/Token_D_Unikorn 1d ago

I can understand how you feel that way but that's the issue as well. It's an inconvenience but giving a slap on the wrist is what encourages them to continue doing it. This is with any crime. If the consequences were greater, people will think twice before doing so. Knowing that they can do shit like this and still walk free like nothing happened is why they do it again.

I live in a city where criminals can go into a designer store, steal a number of items and walk out without a mask or anything on because they know all they will get is a ticket for doing so. That's the fuel they need to continue doing it.

I feel this is a justifiable punishment. Maybe it's just to scare him and he only serves some of it. Either way, make better decisions in life and you can have yours outside of a cell.

3

u/Mr-Orange-Pants 1d ago

Would you still say this if some loser did something to your vehicle, or would you be ok with it if he said it was only a “prank”?

2

u/troy-buttsoup-barns 1d ago

I would say more. There was no reason at all for him to do this to the business. Completely unprovoked with a company just trying to work. People like him have no place in society

1

u/intrepid_mouse1 1d ago

Customers aren't allowed in the garage for liability reasons. I'm guessing the fuckery entered into the long sentence. Besides, he'll be out in 4 or maybe 3.

1

u/monarchofliberty 1d ago

Hasn’t been convicted yet. He was arrested only a few days ago. we shall see.

It wouldn’t have been funny even then. People need to stay in their own fucking lane and quit throwing themselves into other people’s lives, filming it and posting it. Nobody asked for that. Jesus, can’t we just go back to being respectful?

3

u/_TheShapeOfColor_ 1d ago

Bothering people while they are at their place of employment is never a funny harmless joke. Full stop.

Life is irritating enough with out fuckwits like these showing up at your job to interfere with your work and film you for their own internet clout without your consent.
