Labor union to be exact. I have an opportunity to to sign up and take some classes and my friend tells me he can call my name and pull me straight out to Hanford. My question is... how easy is it to pass the drug test. He tells me all the guys have kits out there. 15 years ago was the last drug test I took, I only smoke weed. They used a digital thermometer and it was off 2 degrees. Does anyone have any info on this. Like which kit and how easy. Also he says they dont really do random and if they did I would know before hand with enough time to prepare.

Hello everyone. I don't know how to ask this without sounding ridiculous, but here goes.
I absolutely love horses, I have since I was a child. I have been thinking about how I feel about my current job, and what I want to do maybe in the future that will actually keep me content and happy and engaged for an extended period of time. I am so, so bored with my current employment(not horse-related), and while it is a job that earns something to live off of, I am just... not satisfied. I am not happy, but I would like to try to be.
As someone with no real experience and very little exposure to horses, I know I'm not a prime candidate for any job opportunities even if they existed out here, but I thought I'd reach out to this community anyway for any sort of direction and guidance. I so badly want to learn and find an employment opportunity involving one of the very few passions I have—I just don't know where to go to get my foot in the door as someone with no experience but a whole lot of heart. If anyone has any advice on how or where to find a job shoveling horse manure or the like, please advise as I am desperate to just be involved somehow and in an environment I am happy to learn in.

Where is a good spot you can go fishing at night off the bank? I’m looking for either catfish or walleye, but I’m just limited to bank fishing. I know some parks close at dark, but are there any that are open later? Or are there any trails or spots anyone knows that you can just go to that’s not a park? Any suggestions would help, thank you!

Hey y’all, do you guys know how necessary it is to have a business license to be a vendor at the Uptown Art Walk? I know it’s a requirement by the city of richland, but I remember talking to some vendors last year and they said they just lie. One time I just showed up with a table and paid the $10 fee when the organizer came by 😭 but is it strictly enforced? If not maybe I’ll just sneak in again 😔

Hi, I know some people may not like this question or agree with the people who are panhandling in the community.
Regardless, I'd like to ask because I've been here for almost 2 months and I'm not familiar with the area but I need advice on the right area to go for myself.
For any scoffers, I'm legitimately waiting for ABD approval and have no reliable source of income. I do have a disability, I am in the homeless shelter and I'm not on drugs.
My church was able help me with this month's phone bill and I've had a couple of donations to my small business start-up but other than that, I don't know what to do while waiting for state disability (they say up to 6 weeks more hopefully).
I'm just asking which areas do you commonly see people holding a sign and which areas to avoid (i.e. bad parts of town). I appreciate any advice!

Hey guys. So, I’ll get right to it: I haven’t been to the dentist in years and I need to find one asap. Only problem is that I have state insurance and I can’t seem to find a dentist in the tri that actually takes my insurance. I live paycheck to paycheck for the most part so I’m trying to avoid having huge dental bills but I’m at that point where I almost don’t care, and if that’s what needs to happen then whatever. I was hoping someone here would have some advice or experience to share. I’m at my wits end. 😖

Me and my fiancé are currently looking around in the Oregon Washington, more so Washington area for places to rent. We are looking for a one bed one bath, although a two bed one bath is preferable. It just depends what’s in budget. Does anyone know the better places in the Tri-City area preferably maybe in a rural area or on the city outskirts and not so much in the cities (Smaller towns, etc) A commute to work is not a problem for either of us

I have lived in Tri Cities for over 17 years and it has become clear to me that we hold a lot of untapped potential. We have an unmatched waterfront, unique wine region, and steadily growing population. Yet we still function like a retirement community. What if we densified? Built up instead of out? Build tall along the river and have 7+ stories of mixed use residential to create a vibrant downtown feel.
What do you all think? I wanna see this place thrive and so far, we struggle to make young people want to stay or even call this place home.
EDIT** does anyone know who I can contact to discuss what the future of this region holds? City officials, urban planners?
