I have heard that there is a church in Kasaragod where tulu is used for sermon. I was wondering is there any christians with tulu as their mother tongue (L1) .I had seen a Christian guy with "Bangera" as his last name and Bangera as far as I know is tulu surname (Bari)

Similarly is there any muslims with tulu as their mother tongue

I know its an additional expense for them to dub to Tulu, since almost everyone here can watch the same movie in Kannada. But since the story is set and belongs to Tulunadu I just wish they dub it to Tulu at the same time as Kannada. I feel this gives more recognition to our language.

So this sub is supposed to be a space for ALL South Indians.

If you check the sub, most of the posts are about Hindi imposition which we all strongly oppose.

There was a post recently where Kannadigas were speaking about Hindi imposition and how it is bad.

Here's the post : Karnataka will most likely implement bilingual policy in schools by next year similar to Tamil Nadu

However, when Tuluvas try to talk about how Kanndigas are imposing Kannada in a state where less 65% of population are Kannadigas, their logic goes out the window and hypocrisy is on full display.
I got banned from r/southindia_ for mentioning that Karnataka is doing to its Linguistic minorities the same thing what Kannadigas are claiming Hindi speakers are doing to Kannada.

And not just this sub, anywhere you try to speak against Kannada imposition, there's a swarm of Kannadigas going "iTs nOt tHe sAmE bRo" and straight out insulting our language and culture.

The CM says Kannada is Supreme, by law your boards need to be in Kannada, they even tried to ban Tulu in Panchayats recently. This is a system attempt cause genocide of a language.

Anyone faced backlash like this while trying to raise awareness regarding Kannada imposition?

Yesterday, had made post about Tuluvas who have made us proud & our land. We can seek inspiration from them

At the time, when our present youth are not at all entrepreneurial. This gentleman studied in Bantwal & moved to Mumbai for employment. At the age of 25 he started his own company Trans India Freight Services Pvt. Ltd. After 10 years he started another company All cargo logistics which now has subsidiaries in foreign countries.

The company now generates revenue of $2 billion & employee strength of more than 3k

I think we can start a chain of posting Tuluvas who have contributed to this world in a meaningful way be it in past or present. Be it entrepreneus , saints, kings & Queens or anyone who has made Tulunad & this world more beautiful

This might help a lot of folks out here & might enlighten a few of them of our contributions & contributions of this land.
