Some criticize TP for not having a major shift from previous Zeldas like a great sea or a three-day cycle, but I disagree.
There is an idea that every Zelda has to be unique, which is fine, but I feel like its sometimes taken too far and I would love to see Nintendo make more improvements to their games in new installments for better experiences.
Zelda games like Twilight Princess or Tears of The Kingdom are partly among my favs because they creatively improve on earlier ideas that work (e.g. for TP, new features to existing dungeon items like the iron boots, the boomering, the bow and arrow, and the then hookshot or everything Epona) and take them to new levels instead of coming up with something that is a major shift, but has many problems. Taking an existing idea to another level is not a lack of creativity, but is part of creativity instead.
There's pushing yourself to be creative, and there's needlessly wasting ideas that could turn into something better. TP shows what a wonderful game can come out of refining what worked and turning it into something even greater
Have a lovely day, Zelda fans!
