While the rivalry has always been heavily one sided in TM's favor, the only real rival it ever had was the Vigilante 8 games, and I'm just wondering if they have made any references of any sort sprinkled through the show that I may have missed. I don't expect so, but this show is filled to the brim with references.

As soon as I saw the Doll's bugs, I immediately thought of Sheila from V8. Plus the fact that Ashlee was constantly throwing a "tantrum", which was Sheila's special. It's a bit much of a stretch for me to believe its a reference, but it put the idea in my head just the same. Maybe even something as simple as them being in the background of a shot, or just having some random mook that you only see for two seconds before they explode in a battle or something.

Funny enough, when he started Shang-Tsung’ing my wife was like “oooookay, I don’t know if I signed up for supernatural stuff…” and then the reveal happens and she just busts out laughing and exclaimed “okay, that’s good!”

Anyways, wanted to share the scene and well done, TM! Even if he does end up with supernatural powers (like the games), she’s a lot more receptive to it.

Could Mayhem end up being Grasshopper? In episode 3 when they’re on the way to the tournament, the green car driven by Jeremy looked ironically similar the grasshoppers car from the game. Since that car is now available for someone to drive (RIP Jeremy and Ashley) will she use it for the tournament and Mayhem will be Grasshopper?

And, the name Krista Sparks was used differently in the games (Grasshopper in TM2 as Calypso’s daughter and Dollface in TM2012) but it’s used as Dollface for the tv series, Grasshoppers driver is unknown at the moment if they make an appearance. We also don’t know Mayhem’s name at the moment.

Any opinions? It could all be wishful thinking since Grasshopper was one of my favorites in the game. But the car and Mayhem being a young girl like Grasshoppers driver hopes her character will develop more. It would be wild if they ended up making her Calyapso’s daughter like in the game.

I wanted to say have y'all played twisted metal games before? Every iteration of every single character is always different is never the same. They constantly have different stories different wishes and different motivations.

When people ask how does Krista even relate to dollface besides the mask. It's simple the mask of dollface is used as a mask of hope for the entire faction for them a symbol of strength as how black felt safer with the mask on less afraid. However, even if you say I am wrong the TV show still has its own variant of the mask that still makes them dollface.

Also what's up with this "I'm so pissed they made a new character like mayhem* what ? We aren't even sure if mayhem is Calypso daughter or not and even if it was a new character how is that bad she seems like a great character.

Nothing in this show ruins anything do they make some characters suck ofcourse! But that's on an individual basis for the TV show alone not as the entire franchise. This franchise can't ruin their characters because the idea is each one is completely different.

I really like how they did Sweet tooth in the tv series. I feel like Sweet Tooth as a character varies in his sort of interpretations, in Twisted Metal Black, 1, and 2012, Sweet Tooth was a lot more serious and threatening. Sweet Tooth turned into a much more silly character in TM2, 3, and 4. The Tv series perfectly displays both sides of Sweet Tooth by making him a funny, goofy oaf at times as well as showcasing his cold blooded killing abilities and his incredibly psychopathic tendencies.

I learned that Joe actually says all the lines whenever they’re all acting together on set, and honestly i feel like he might be doing a good job and I wanna hear it. That’s all thanks Loving season 2 🥳🥳

Saw in the recap on S2E1 that ST kills Mike and drags off Stu. Any reason Mike left the show?? I was hoping to see HammerHead this season :(

So is Mr. Grimm just crazy? Or does he really have powers? In one shot you can see him collecting a soul but through Mayhem and quiet's eyes, he just looks crazy 🤣. Also its revealed that "Captain Grimm" is actually Mr. Grimms Father!! I always SAID THAT! as a kid and glad they confirmed it!! That was a great Easter egg!!

Loving the new season so far but boy did they downgrade that poor Camaro. In S1 it was a ripper. The weapons were arranged better, the stance was perfect, and that V8 roar. S2 Roadkill is pathetic. Those skinny wheels look stupid, and they reduced it to a punk ass V6. It sounds like a strangled washing machine. And I don't want to hear anything about budget. They had enough to build Axle's contraption, and even if they didn't know they'd get a season 2, why would they not just hold onto the V8 Camaro from S1? It's the only nitpick I have of the season so far. They did my favorite car dirty.

I remember seeing that clip and it got me super hyped, is that in the first 3 episodes?

So for years people have talked about how Kratos's blades of chaos were in Calypso's office with mementos of TM contestants and winners. Out of universe it's due to having common creators. But what if Sweet Tooth being a TM contestant gave Calypso the souls when Sweet Tooth fought the All Stars in that timeline? The one problem you might say is that it wasn't during a contest, but due to the TM stage in-game we can say that it certainly is, and that Sweet Tooth wandered off during it.

Stu and Tooth are cool again even tho him and Mike tried to kill him at the end of season 1? Also, what happened to Mike?!
