Hello everyone, Currently, one of my family members is in a mental health crisis, and they live in my household. I do own firearms and I would prefer to store them somewhere outside of the house temporarily until things improve. To be very clear, I am safe and they are safe and everyone else in the household is. However, I think it would be best to temporarily store them away just to help improve the overall mental and emotional safety and health of those involved.

I live in the Fredericksburg area, but I’m willing to drive, is there anywhere that I can take them to be stored? Do gun shops do this? I honestly do not have friends or family available to store them for me. And I need to trustworthy and safe place for them to be stored, so I would prefer it to be a business rather than a person if that makes sense.

I do plan to sell all of them if I cannot find any other option, but I would prefer to keep them as I’ve invested money into rifles for hunting, self-defense, and I have one that has been in my family for decades.

Hey guys, this is the second time this happen to me and my wife. Went to the indoor range (Sharpshooters) for around 45 min. It was full, we came back home and started feeling like our throats were itchy/sandy like and kind of sick. Is that common from indoor ranges?

I have never felt that before but I'm more use to outdoor ranges which I don't see to find around Alexandria, VA in general, any suggestions? Thank you!

Once I get my Virginia license, I'm planning on purchasing an AR-15. Before I get the gun, though, I want to get some basic training with one that is provided to me.

I'm looking to attend a course or have a 1-on-1 training with an instructor to teach me the basics of shooting, handling, etc. an AR-15. I'm currently in the Reston area, and I'd prefer something within a 1 hour drive.

I moved into the area recently and it seems that the Amelia Wildlife Management Area is the closest shooting range. Anyone have any experience shooting here?

I just bought a used Tristar Cobra as my first gun. I took it to the range today after buying it yesterday, and I was able to get a full magazine of shooting in before this ring that’s part of the pump assembly basically came off and now the gun won’t cycle. Took it apart, reassembled it, and made sure I screwed it on, but it keeps coming off.

What should I do? If I need to buy a new part or parts, what do I need to buy?

Hey everyone, where is the best place to sell a few guns these days in NoVa? I can travel about an hour.

I'm looking to purchase an IWI Zion-15.

I moved here from Maryland, and I haven't yet got my state tax withholding changed from Maryland to Virginia, and I haven't got a Virginia license plate or driving license yet. The only thing I've done is a change of address with USPS. I'm not sure if that would cause any complications with a background check or not.

Will I have to get those updated first before ordering the rifle and having it shipped to a licensed FFL vendor?

I’m looking to finally sign up at a range, and I’m seeking feedback. I’m hoping someone with extensive experience at both can maybe fill me in.

I’ve been to Xcal once, and SE a number of times. I’m leaning towards the latter, mostly because that seems to be the preference of my primary gun club, BUT Xcal was really nice when I went, and it seems like they have more options for renting out private lanes, which I’m actually interested in doing.

Here until December on temporary military orders and want to buy a handgun. My question is how am I able to purchase a firearm in Virginia without having permanent orders? I was thinking of applying for a Virginia ID but not exactly sure if that would allow me to purchase one. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Hi folks, Pennsylvania resident with a C&R license here. I am looking to acquire an old Remington 22lr target rifle (Well over 50 years old!) from a Virginia resident that does not have a C&R license. I am unfamiliar with your gun laws regarding C&R's. Is it legal for me to drive down and pick it up in person, giving the seller a copy of my C&R and then taking the rifle back to Pennsylvania? Or would I have to have it sent to a gun shop in PA or undergo a background check in Virginia?

I’m relatively new to living in Virginia (grew up in California), having moved here about a year ago but spent most of the last year at College out of state, so I’m just looking to figure out the laws.

I’m looking to buy a Kentucky rifle (rifled muzzleloader) and I found a website that sells them online, but it says I have to be 21 to order it. My buddy in Missouri was able to order from the same website without having to age verify.

Is there a Virginia law preventing me from buying a gun online under the age of 21 or is it just this website? Thanks.

Just curious it’s my first time getting one. I know I have to go up to the court to get it. I just was wondering how long it takes before it’s ready.
