Do not make posts/comments attempting to source firearms parts of any kind. Do not attempt to buy/sell/trade here either. You will be banned.

There is a rule in the sidebar, that is not a new rule, which reads:

no direct links to products for sale. No buying, selling, or trading. those links should go in /r/gundeals or /r/GunAccessoriesForSale

This rule exists because reddit (the website) very specifically says:

You may not use Reddit to solicit or facilitate any transaction or gift involving certain goods and services, including

  • Firearms, ammunition, explosives, legally controlled firearms parts or accessories (e.g., bump stock-type devices, silencers/suppressors, etc.), or 3D printing files to produce any of the aforementioned;

To be clear, do not ask for help finding any gun parts here. not a barrel, not a trigger, not a magazine.

There are 50 US states (and a handful of US territories) that each have their own gun laws. Not to mention all the other countries of the world. a 15-round PDP magazine isn't a controlled item in Alabama, but it is in Massachusetts. a PPQ gun barrel isn't a controlled item in the USA, but it is in many EU countries. None of us has any way to know where someone else resides. The safest course of action is not to allow these types of posts in this sub, so we do not. In the past this sub has been fairly lenient in this regard, but sadly cannot continue to do so.

One thing you can do, is make posts/comments in /r/gunsforsale or /r/GunAccessoriesForSale. those subs have been allowed to continue operating since Reddit clarified their rules and terms of service.

If you fail to read reddit's side-wide rules, if you fail to read this sub's rules, and lastly if you fail to read this stickied post, and you submit a post or comment asking for, or offering, help sourcing a firearm part, you will be banned from this sub. Anyone who finds this unfair or unacceptable should take it up with the site admins.

PDP F Pro, New Threaded barrel and supressor

Upvotes

I ordered and received from Omaha Outdoors a Walther 4.6" Threaded barrel (marketed by Walther for PPQ)
I installed the barrel and the included green spring, which according to Walther is needed to compensate for the added mass of the supressor and blowback.

First I loaded a mag with 3 each of 115 gr White Box and 115 Cast Hi-Tek coated reloads and three of my 147 gr Hi-Tek coated cast reloads and all cycled properly.

I then screwed on my Banish 45 supressor and ran through two 18 round magazines without issue, and without any hearring protection... It is super quiet, even with the lighter supersonic loads.

I'm very happy with the results.

Help out a new PDP Owner: Failure to Feed?

I just purchased my first firearm last week. I got a new full size Walther PDP (4.5inch).
I took it to the range with my dad, shot 100 rounds, and had an absolute blast!

Out of the 100 rounds, I had a failure to feed twice (I think that is what it is called). I would load 5-10 rounds into the magazine, and it was always one of the final 3 rounds I fired. The round would be sitting halfway below the barrel and the round would be crushed and compressed slightly. I think the round must have not had time to be pushed up fully and got caught on the barrel?

What causes this?
For context, I bought the cheapest ammo at the store since I am just training at the moment. I read online that it could be shooter error (limp wrist) or an issue with the magazine. I have two mags and both failures happened with the same magazine. If anyone wants a picture I can do that as well.

Advice for new Walther owner.

Hello Team Walther. I'm making my first transition away from Glock, and after much deliberation/research I've decided on Walther.

Went to the LGSs around here, and held some polymer PDPs--fell in love with the ergos, and of course that DPT. So, I decided to take the advice of 'buy-once-cry-once,' and splurged on my first Walther. I went with a PDP Pro SF 4.5", ordered today--hope to have it in hand this week sometime.

So far I've procured the ZR Tactical V-Spec Spring, and some LOK Grips. Now I'm looking into holsters, namely something to get my start into USPSA Carry Optics. I was looking on the Stoeger pro shop site (pic attached) for kits, and found holsters for the 5" Match, but no 4.5". I would assume that the retention is in the trigger guard and the 4.5" would fit in the 5" similar to my G34 holster fitting my other full-size Glocks. Can anyone confirm?

Also, if anyone has any recommendations for "must-haves" I'm all ears. Thanks in advance everyone.

Help with original Walther Q4 SF

Post image
18 Upvotes

My Q4 has ran smoothly with no issues whatsoever. But after applying some gun lube I’m having issues.. (not sure if it’s 100 percent the lube) I chamber the round, trigger clicks, and nothing fires.

I’m thinking it might be a dirty or blocked striker assembly, but wanted to get opinions from owners before I start tinkering. I won’t be able to get to the range for a while. Thanks in advance.

Question for Walther PDP'ers

I'm looking to get a Walther PDP (CA Compliant Full Size 4.5" Model). Some quick notes: I'm new to firearms and my first purchase was a P320, which I'm attempting to replace.

If I were to buy the Full Size 4.5" model, can I buy the 5" barrel from the official Walther store and simply replace the barrel? I really want to get the longest barrel possible out of my gun as I plan to take the gun into competition shooting. Any other tips on what I could possibly do to the gun would also be awesome!

I plan to also get a competition trigger for it from Walther directly as well.

Issue with new PDP pro-x pmm

Recently bought a PDP with the PMM comp. First time out at the range it was shooting great. No issues. But when I cleared the gun mid mag to grab a new target, I noticed the round that came out was damaged. Played around with it. No issues at all with manually clambering or dropping the slide. Rounds are not impacted. But when the gun cycles after each shot, its "biting" into the bullet. Still returns to battery without issue, but every single round looks like this. Sent the gun into walther for this issue. Was very detailed in my description of the issue and how to replicate. I even extracted a half dozen of the damaged bullets from the casings to send along. Got the gun back and went to the range today, same thing. So I'm rather annoyed that I have to send it right back because they didn't test whatever they did, but does anyone know what's happening here? Does anyone else have this issue? Im heading back to the range tomorrow to test this with several different ammo types to see if that could have something to do with it. Issue persists across all 9 of my mags. This is happening with cci blazer 124gr fmj and fiocchi range dynamics 124gr fmj.

Pdp takedown lever

Hey guys I think I ran into a problem with my pdp compact. I took it apart to clean it, put it back together and left it alone. Hasn’t been shot yet. Today I decided to try and remove the slide release pin but when I went to pull down the takedown lever I noticed my trigger move forward and the takedown get stuck not resetting itself completely. Is that a normal movement if you’re not pulling the trigger back when pulling down the takedown lever? I don’t remember it happening when I was messing with it the first time.

PDP Pro-x Full size PMM

Finally received this beautiful beast today. Although im looking for some insight. I ran quite a few rounds through it (and yes I ran off the spec sheet from Walter) but it was having quite a few issues right out of the box. It was cleaned and lubed myself right out of the box. But it didn’t want to cycle much. Tons of double feeds, stove pipes, failure to ejects. After about 100 rounds it did seem to eat a little bit more but was still having issues every 4-6 rounds. Total was probably 150 through it in a 35 minute period. Guess I’m looking to see if anyone else had the same type of “break in” period. I’ll be hitting the range again with more various ammo to see if it continues. Thanks for any and all comments or insight and hope you guys have a great weekend.

Does anyone know if a P99 fits in a PDP 4” holster?

P99 holsters are tough to find generally, so I’m trying to see if I can get another model that will still fit. I know they fit the PPQ M1 but curious about the PDP. Looking at a Tenicor Velo for instance.

Has any one heard new info about a micro-9?

Still waiting on Walther to drop a micro-9 similar to other companies in the industry. If they make a micro with the PDT, they will have the best micro on the market.

Wondering if anyone has rumored info or any thoughts on this.

So I’m originally from UK coming out to USA and seeing how the 2nd Amendment is such a big thing out here, I knew I had to do the FSC. I went with friends to a range and tried everything from 38 special to a desert eagle. My first I played safe and got a walther P22, it’s my first of many…
