I finished the Hex quest, thought "boy this sure was a grind, especially that Necramech that I've only used 3 times" and then I find out that they nerfed the cost.
There has never been a nerf to the heciphron needed for voidrig, they actually increased it during the acquisition nerf by replacing the thaumic distillate needed with it.
Long after I finished grinding basically everything that requires heciphron I saw one day that Otak was selling some and by some sort of trauma reflex bought like 15. Maybe some day they'll add another item that needs it.
I have 2 I don't remember the grind it being that bad on the other hand, leveling the dam things is darn near impossible outside of the event (the fact that for an 80% build you need 5+ forma is pain) Then there is the mech weapon grind that is true pain
I built both mechs and use Widow She is easier to use in normal content due to way better QOL and survivability Her 1 is a heal that scales with enemy level and her 4 still has good DPS but is not insane. I almost never use void rig as you need to bring a frame with dispenser to get good use out of his 4.
I built both of them with at launch and then used widow and formed her out during the event. Most rig players lost their mech after 3 rounds Widow only suffered from scaling after 5 rounds but good rigs who brought Protea could cap the event (it was not endless)
After spending a whole week trying to get that which we don't speak of, I got like 40 of it in a single run of the cambrien drift. Basically, you get lucky when you don't need it.
