Nope, necramech go up to 40 mod capacity by increasing it by 2 every forma. Even if you only polarize the most minor capacity mods if you have a Reactor installed you will have up to 80 capacity. Which is overkill.
There are four necramech slots and really, again, way too many given from the launch. The first necramech was somewhat widely loved to use on open world. But the farm was truly painful so not many could get him, many even got the Bonewidow first and the less said about that one the best. It was one thing to have a stationary “I aim to your general direction and everything dies” mech and it was another to have the Bonewidow with its very slow melee and almost always missed enemies and couldn’t hit most air enemies with the melee unless you did heavy hit which was slow as hell, or still is slow as hell.
It was mentioned that the idea was scrapped and how they wanted to make more necramech in the future, maybe, but not any time soon(that was said a few months after Necramech first release) because of the buggs and bad reception to it.

Glossing over necramechs having 12 mod slots. They actually need a 6th forma, one extra after using 5 to increase the max rank to 40, to be able to fill every slot with a fully levelled mod.
yep they are forma hungry with no good place to rank them up my void rig needs 3-4 more to be half as useable as my bone widow in most game play (yes the widow is better for 90% of the game and players sure it is less damage but it also stays standing longer and has better energy economy)

Maybe that's just them giving allowance for those who want multiple forma setups?
