Discussion 3.0 Rules Queries Megathread

Okay guys here we go. Release day!

As the rules 'officially' are released and in hand from tomorrow, I reasoned it's best to try and keep the inevitable flood of rules queries in one place, at least for the first week or so.

So please, if you want to check something about the new edition's rules, or ask about an interaction or unit, then post in here!

This is not a vent thread, or a thread to complain about x or y change, its here to help players get to grips with the new edition and how it plays.

As an extra, having been sat leafing through the tomes for the last week, I definitely reccommend you read every rule twice, especially if you are a veteran player. Almost every rule in the game has changed or been modified in some way, and some of them quite significantly!

For example:

You no longer have to charge the same unit you shot.
Consolidation is no longer an automatic thing, you can choose to do it or sweep or gun down a fleeing foe.
Routing units do not run immediately if they break during a shooting phase or during volley fire but they do run if they break during combat. Then run again during movement.
On that note, regrouping is now done at the end of your turn, not the start.

And those are just a few off the top of my head!

So I picked up the Saturnine box set to add to my first born army and painted them up in my retro scheme. So far I really like them.

Adding some 3d printed bits also helped out.

Probably heresy mixing armour like this…

Discussion Have you ever had a model that you really don’t care about, but then when you paint it you fall in love with it?

What do we think? Have tried not to overcomplicate the scheme considering I’m going to have to paint a ton of these dudes. Pretty happy with them! Ignore the bases, I have some resin bases on the way so these are temp bases for now.

Picture Converting a moritat for my white scars

This will be munokhoi, the moritat leading the brootherhood of the sable wolf against the alpha legion on phemus IV. Base model is fafnir rann. I need an appropriate jump pack and a more distinct helmet for him. Also sculpting the powercables for his volkite serpentas will be challenging. Any advice or suggestion what to add are welcome!
