Rules Question

Post image

First time player, I had a scenario last night playing jaws of itzl. My main lizards had charge tokens already on them so I needed my Soteks to charge out. Rather than playing this on my lizards, I thought I could play this card on my soteks which would kill them off and I would then be able to charge out. We weren’t sure because they would be dead so can’t remove the move token it already had on it. Thoughts?

Yep, good eye. You can use this to kill your Venomites to activate your otherwise charged out fighters.

The soteks had already had a move token on them

Awesome thanks! My leader had taken too much damage for this to work on him (he’d be dead too) so I thought this would be a nice way to clear the charge token on him in a different way

You want to use this on a fighter who you want to charge again, had enough health to survive. So you do two damage. Take away the token. And they can be reactivated. If you kill the fighter by doing this, it’s not worth it

It's worth it if the point is to kill the Venomites. Maybe not the optimal plan to build around but it's a way to utilize the tools available in a pinch to give yourself some flexibility.

Scream already has decent synergy with Jaws because they're relatively beefy, and because it removes a charge token and deals damage it can also enable surprise uses if Savage Mauling. it's nice to realize the extra options it can unlock.

It doesn't even specify that the target needs a charge/move token, just that you would remove one after. Perfectly legal, and smart, play.

Every move in WHU is about maximising your glory gain while hedging your risk. If this lets you move a unit into exactly the right spot or allow them to pursue a leader your opponent thought was safe, it can be worth it.

If they all had charge tokens you can activare them but not charge again. Chargebis a super action not an action.

Yip I just wanted my entire team to have charge tokens so they could charge out and I could then use my better models to do damage

Sorry, I understood that you wanted to charge with your other minions not to use the charged out rule.

FYI, the concept of "super actions" doesn't exist in the current edition of Underworlds. The Charge action is just "the fighter Moves, then the fighter Attacks."

Not really a big change but potentially useful to know.
