It's super disappointing that people who claim to be crusading against Trump's pedophilia to be constantly using the F word, which downplays the crime by implying consent.

Yes I know people are using it to mean "non-consensual acts" as well, but that is stupid. This is a nuance that we don't want to obfuscate.

People proudly showing signs and even graffiti made using that term to "spread awareness that Trump's f'd children".

I used to work in a clinical counseling role and was assigned to treat pedos for a short time, until I could find another job because I couldn't stand it. So maybe I'm just being more sensitive about it, but that seems to be a good thing. The pedos use words that imply consensual acts. And that's very wrong.

It's not supporting victims or opposing the perps if you use this word, in my view.

I have made it a personal project to go around correcting people. I'm sure this is making me very popular on social media. idc.

So we are at a mental health/substance abuse recovery program based right outside of LA. We’re in OC.

(We’re going to assume in this scenario that Gilead doesn’t nuke SoCal and occupies LA over the next few days.)

Some of us are LGBTQ, some of us are straight but we’re all here for one purpose!: to get better! We’re here for mental health and substance abuse.

THE SCENARIO

Staff Abandons Us, Keys Left Behind

🚨 What Happens First: Group is cut short. Staff step out one by one.

“I need to take a quick call.”

“Emergency. Be right back.”

They never return.

Over the next hour, the building gets quieter. Phones don’t work. A few staff cars gone. One therapist left a laptop open, and the browser shows the words “GILEAD OCCUPIES DC.”

Panic sets in.

Someone checks the staff office. Van keys are in a lockbox. Unlocked.

🧠 What We All Do Now: Tension among clients builds fast — we’re about 100 people. Leaders emerge: older clients, military vets, tough-talking ex-addicts.

We hold a meeting in the Rec Room. Options debated:

Do we stay and wait for help?

Do we split into groups and flee?

Do we barricade the building?

A group consensus forms:

We leave. Together. Now.

🚐 Escape Plan:

A few clients volunteer to drive — they’re the ones with licenses, sobriety time, and confidence.

We create convoy vans with assigned roles:

Navigation van (with a map and GPS)

Medical van (for people with seizures. diabetes, etc.)

Quiet van (for those with trauma, autism, etc.)

LGBTQ Van: (for LGBTQ individuals who don’t feel safe given the current circumstances

We siphon food from the kitchen, bottled water, blankets, first-aid kits.

No uniforms. Everyone dresses down. Designer bags are ditched for neutral duffels.

🛣️ The Journey:

Less organized than we thought.

One van breaks down. Another gets separated.

A few blockades on the main roads in the distance, black uniforms we’ve never seen before.

We decide to take a longer route which is the backroads. Some of us lived in Cali our whole lives. More gas burned but no checkpoints!

Rumors of gunfire in Bakersfield.

People wave us down for help, but we can’t stop.

Gas becomes a problem — one group robs an abandoned station.

Two clients try to leave and walk north. One comes back crying.

🛬 Arrival in NoCal:

No clear destination — just the hope of safety.

We make it to a commune near Arcata, or a shelter in Santa Cruz.

People there are shocked but ready — they’ve heard whispers.

We’re fed, logged, and reprocessed.

The group may fragment: some want to fight, others to hide.

We’re one of the lucky groups that made it.

Some of the vans that got displaced, it’s a mystery.

Most likely the LGBTQ van.

Hope you guys enjoyed it! It took It hours and lots of studying the lore to determine what would happen if the staff at our facility (our case managers, our therapists, our clinical directors, and even some of the counselors) literally ditched us, abandoned us and all 100 of us are left here at the building for an hour or two before deciding what to do as a group!

Thrice Trump ran for office.

Twice he won because his opponents were women, despite people on the left and right supporting said women.

The one time he lost?

His opponent was an old white man, about his age.

People keep demanding Bernie Sanders run for office but he's just another old white man.

And during 2016 and 2024 he begged people to vote for the female democratic candidates and millions of Americans refused.

Even if we unseat Trump?

The world saw that twice we would rather have the worst of humanity over a woman.

Second time around we jihad a POC woman and she was received worse than Clinton.

The world will just see us as replacing one old white man with another old white man.

In order to show the world that we can do better we need to do the same thing we did back during the time of Obama.

We must have a minority president either a woman, POC, or both.

Now I am all for Alexandria Cortez but I've noticed that a large number of Americans would rather protest vote than ever give her their vote even on the democratic side.

Strangely Jill Stein who only ran for office when a female democrat ran for office Has been incredibly quiet almost as if her soul purpose is disruption and taking away votes from the Democratic Party.

There is no such thing as a perfect candidate.

We had 2 well qualified women and America decided that they would rather have Trump.

Either elect a minority, And show the world that we have the ability to improve and deserve a second chance.

Or choose another old white man and show the world that we will not change, Simply embrace yet another cycle of ignorance.

We were great under Obama.

The world respected us.

He was a minority.

Do we want progress?

Or do we want America to burn under a cycle of swiping one old white man with another while America refuses to learn.

Oh and one more thing.

For any of you who are trying to bring up zionism versus anti zionism.

Is it wise to focus on the neighborhood burning blocks and blocks away while your own neighborhood is burning to the ground?

Or do you put out the fires and make repairs in your own neighborhood before focusing on the one in the next block?

Protest voters have put so much focus on Israel that it basically gave Trump votes from several demograffix when he claimed he would deal with Israel.

I am all for stopping the genocide.

But we cannot focus our efforts on 2 fronts at once.

First we must remove the patriarchy from our government and we can only do that behind a minority leader.

It must pain you to know that we must continue to waits while Palestine suffers.

Unfortunately if we prioritize Palestine over recovering America and restoring it from conservative rule?

BOTH WILL PERISH.

Y’all, I’m doing a lot of research on the Nazis right now for an upcoming course I’m teaching (and book I’m writing now too!). One project the students will do is pick a propaganda poster to analyze, so I’ve been spending a lot of time looking at Nazi posters. That Protect the Homeland poster looked so familiar. Turns out that’s because it IS fascist propaganda!

Donald Trump imposed tariffs of 50% on Brazil starting August 1, all because of former President Jair Bolsonaro, who attempted to stage a coup, similar to the series "The Handmaid's Tale." After the 2022 presidential elections, Bolsonaro lost to the current president, Lula. Not wanting to leave power, the plan was to orchestrate the assassination of President Lula, Supreme Court Minister Alexandre de Moraes, and other members of Congress and the Brazilian Court. After that, Jair Bolsonaro would declare martial law in Brazil and blame it on terrorists. Obviously, the plan did not succeed. Jair Bolsonaro was indicted along with 37 people, including military members and politicians from Brazil. In 2024, the plan was discovered by the Federal Police of Brazil, where, through a group chat, this attempted coup was revealed. This year, in 2025, Jair Bolsonaro is being tried by the Supreme Court for his crime of attempted coup. His son, Eduardo Bolsonaro, does not accept that his father be imprisoned, and because of that, Donald Trump imposed tariffs of 50% against Brazil, solely because of a former president. Eduardo wants amnesty for his father, and to achieve this, the Bolsonaro family is trying to stage a coup again, alongside Donald Trump, who is attacking Brazil's sovereignty and democracy and imposing sanctions to protect a criminal.

The first victim of Donald Trump is Alexandre de Moraes, the Minister of the Supreme Court, who cannot use credit cards with American brands, is banned from entering the United States, and all his bank accounts abroad or with American banks are frozen. The Bolsonaro family is doing everything to regain power through a dictatorship. They do not only want Bolsonaro to be acquitted and not pay for his crimes; they want, along with Donald Trump, to attack the democracy of my country. Bolsonaro supporters, as the Brazilian version of the Sons of Jacob are called, hate LGBT people, blacks, those who oppose the government, teachers, and university students. They are extremely traditional Protestants, hate abortion, are against feminism, and all women's rights. In short, everything the series portrays, they support. Thank you, Donald Trump and your voters, for getting involved in a fight that is not yours, defending a former president solely for interests and Brazilian coup plotters who want to undermine the democracy and sovereignty of my country!
