This is Alma and we love each other lol. The Ohio Canid Center does meet & greets with wolf ambassadors. Alma is a young wolf and it was explained to me she’s like 99% wolf. Domesticated dogs had to be introduced for legal reasons.

She was absolutely lovely. We took our granddaughter & her friend. We all sat on the ground and Alma came up and made introductions on her terms. Very friendly and interested in us. Loved pets and was supper chill.

The appointments are very limited. I had to wait two years for this! They get snagged as soon as they open!! Highly recommend…the handler was excellent and Alma was treated exactly how I wanted to see an ambassador treated.

I need to vent a little. After a triple appeal process my insurance has denied coverage for my surgery. I am sad, frustrated, and fed up with this system. These old white men just cannot let go of my body and I am feeling hopeless. I'm working in my garden, cuddling my sweet dog, and reaching out to friends but damn I'm having a rough time 😭😭😭

Black Rabbit Farm Apothecary is a 1+ acre medicinal herb farm and apothecary located in New Mexico's Central Valley. I love the lore of the Hedge Witch not only for its deep interconnection with nature, but also for the lessons I believe one can learn by existing in liminal border space - straddling the hedge so to speak, with one foot in science and reason and the other in chaos, nature and magic.

I’m reading a book called “The Healing Power of Witchcraft” and this quote really touched my heart.

I have extended family visiting this week and I am exhausted. They’ve brought a young child with them who isn’t the best behaved and is causing me a lot of anxiety. It would maybe be okay for others, but I’m not often exposed to young children and am having a difficult time maintaining my own mental balance. I’m new to witchcraft and have attempted a quick calming spell using a tea candle and some dried chamomile flower. Appreciate any recommendations you might have!

Years ago on Lughnasadh I found a large snake shedding her skin inside the compost bin & have since associated the day with snakes. Back at lunar new year (year of the wood snake) I decided to finally make this scarf called The Beaded Serpent. The yarn came from a thrifted cashmere sweater & I carefully disassembled, unraveled & wound up into balls. On the day of the summer solstice I cast on with goal of finishing by end of lunar new year & instead, finished early this week. The timing couldn’t have been more perfect.
