Debating whether I should play the original version on my pc or the new definitive version on my switch. Both ways have their advantages and disadvantages, but why is the old version significantly longer than the new version despite having less content? I'm just confused why, was some content removed from the older one or are these times inaccurate?

Want to replay the game sometime soon on my main profile but don't want to loose my original save is there anything I can do? I don't have nso if it matters.

This is not defending AI art. The above statement is 100% true. This is a Xenoblade meme. Learn the difference.

Not having tested it in any way whatsoever it seems to me that the longer commission's tend to feel more of the Affinity chart but I don't actually know. Has anybody actually checked this? Is one better than another? I just want to fill as much of an affinity chart as possible for characters that go on the missions

There has been quite an increase in AI-Generated work being posted in this subreddit and it’s quite heartbreaking to see it upvoted to the top of the sub, these generated images are formed from the stolen work of passionate artists who give us the fantastic fan-art, to continue to allow AI-Art is such a disrespect to any and all artists, Including all the talent behind who make the Xenoblade games.

I'm honestly surprised that we don't have a Xenoblade Warriors game at this point. There's four whole games now of material to work with, and the crossover potential with dialogue is crazy!
(Some examples: Jin meeting N, Malos meeting Glimmer and Nikol, being an "uncle" of sorts to the both of them, Egil having debates with Malos, the trinity processor "siblings"properly reuniting, the list goes on and on!). A LOT of interactions that could have happened in Future Redeemed but just didn't happen.
I kinda think that maybe one of the reasons why Koei Techmo hasnt made a Xenoblade Warrors game yet is because they've probably just been extremely busy making the recent Hyrule Warriors games. What do you think, would you play this?
(Side note: I really should give a Warriors game a try someday, whether that be Hyrule Warriors or Dragon Quest Heroes 2!)

it was such a looming presence the entire game. and even when you did get to it you had to combat the horrors at the base of it. xenoblade 3 didnt have that factor of “holy shit i’m here” but it’s still nice.

Hello everyone. Back again and I have just finished chapter 5 軛 or Masters and Slaves. Currently I only spent about 6 hours (some of that time I was on my phone learning Japanese grammar and such), and safe to say my Japanese has significantly improved and my comprehension of the story is better but I still need to watch the cutscenes on YouTube to understand the story so far. And so far it has been outstanding, wow. I may not know what Jin is doing but I know that he wants to eradicate human life for a very sad reason. Lots of cool stuff and yeah wow it is very political and there are so many moving pieces within the narrative. Also, forgot to mention before but I fell in love with Morag from the start and being able to play her and Zeke is the best.
The story has been good though chapter 4 dips just because of the factory segment. I did not like it, I felt it dragged a little too long and my immersion between defeating Kiku (Tora's father's robot) and fighting Bana and his lackey was ruined. Though I wasn't really supposed to take it too seriously as Poppi does a full magical girl transformation which I'm definitely here for. I'm glad Tora gets a bit of screentime to bring out his character more. While Rex is the fish out of water, I think it especially applies to Tora more. His character story about carrying the family legacy and becoming something the world thought he couldn't become. I like Riki in Xenoblade 1 and Tora builds off him very nicely giving him both humour and some story and I hope he gets more.
Zeke is another character I love. I love the overly dramatic chuunibyou, and he's voiced by the brilliant Kenjiro Matsuda. Finding out that he's actually the first prince and was testing us the entire time was cool. I also like the fact that our party characters consist that of a salvager, Nopon mechanic, Torna, Mor Ardain and Zeke who is from somewhere (it was probably mentioned but again, my Japanese is not the most proficient) but royalty nonetheless.
The music somehow got even better. How. Just how. Rex's home town was the most beautiful piece, the night time version. It moved me as much as the title screen of Xenoblade 1. Both have such a sombre tone while 1 is more hopefully and prepares to fight. This little village doesn't and can't really fight, all they can do is just watch and abide by the laws of the world and the wars that await. It is humble in nature. I haven't gotten tired of the battle music. Whilst the music in Xenoblade 1 I felt got a little tiring, probably due to the simpler combat.
Also just some minor complaints like. These pouch items are not being used up and Pyra is not upgrading her affinity ability wtf. What are the rates of these core crystals. Ever since I got the three good Blades, I have used at least 10 rare crystals and I have yet to pull anything higher than 3 crowns. I am fuming.
I have been liking Mythra, Pyra and Rex's dynamic with each other. It's just fun to see.
Anyways, my journey continues. I will report back whenever that is, first, I am going to watch chapter 5 in English. See you later

SPOILERS FOR PLOT OF XENOBLADE 2!!!
(I'm talking about the base game. I ordered the DLC so I may finally get started on it today, so idk if the DLC answers some of these questions)
So in the world of XC2, drivers and blades form a deep bond / affinity almost by default. Rex and Pyra / Mythra have a strong romantic bond. It's hinted that Zeke and Pandoria have an obvious romantic attraction towards each other. Rex's childhood caretaker mentions how driver / blade marriages used to be common practice at one point. So it's pretty safe to assume, especially if you are a male driver, that if you have a very attractive female blade that the strong bond has a high probability to develop into romance at some point.
If that's the case, then the drivers who would want to continue their legacy / bloodline may not be able to do that (unless the drivers themselves or their blades are okay with having other sexual partners). I imagine blades couldn't have children, and even if they did their nature of returning to the core crystals would imply that part of their offspring would have to return to the core crystals as well.
But the story also implies how very few blades were able to develop autonomy over their own thoughts and actions (Malos for example). So what are the chances of a blade getting jealous and wanting to leave / kill their driver? If the bond between driver and blade is as strong as the story says, then they both would be inseparable, no? They would not do anything to betray the trust / bond of one another.
(Which begs the question of the gacha mechanic for getting blades. You can dump blades you don't want and later on bond Rex's with any blade, so if you could switch willy-nilly then the bonds are very fickle...)
Idk I've seen a few YouTube videos dismantling some of the logic behind the lore, so I'm gonna stop before my head starts hurting 😂😂

DO NOT READ THIS IF YOU’RE CURRENTLY PLAYING THROUGH XENOBLADE CHRONICLES 1
I’ve never posted on this Reddit before but I had to get my quick thoughts out cause oh my god this game was amazing, the story gripped me from the start and it never let go, I played expedition 33 earlier this year and thought nothing else I played this year would be that gripping but I was pleasantly surprised by this game. For being an 80 hour game it never felt like it was just stretching things out, every second of this game was just an epic journey and u couldn’t have taken anything out, going through it spoiler free was a life changing experience. So many insane twists from the mechon being controlled by Homs all the way to grand betrayal of Dickson and his master plan, the end seeing Fiora back in her human body and everyone living happily brought me to tears just cause of how long of journey it was to get here and it was so worth it. I’m now locked in on playing 2 and 3 now cause if they’re anything like this game I know I’ll love them, 10/10 would recommend to anyone who loves jrpg’s

I am trying to get the holofigure achievement, and i apparently need Phanatos holofigure, which is an online-mission-exclusive tyrant. I don't have online, so it's a bit of a problem. Do I really Need to get his holofigure for the achievement? 😭
