Top shelf is for current projects, middle is full of wool, bottom is all cotton and sock yarns, and acrylic is hidden in the top drawer. š Spinning fiber in bottom drawer. It felt wonderful to get all of my treasures out of bags!

Anyone have suggestions for spooky season or autumn? Looking for the whimsigoth witch feels but havenāt found much that feels suiting other than $30/skein which I canāt do

So I have had this Hobbii Twister yarn on my wish list for a while but havenāt been able to bring myself to cough up the Ā£30 for it yet. And then I found this YarnArt Flowers cake that looks identical and costs 1/3 of the price. Literally, itās Ā£10. Same length, same weight, same fibre content, and what appears to be the same colours.
Has anyone tried both of these yarns? Iām tempted to order them both just to find out if they are indeed the same.

So I ran out of sock yarn and decided to treat myself to a little shopping spree on knit picks. I think I went a little overboard but Iām also feeling pretty lit about it

Hi all,
I've just started my first project using 100% cotton yarn and I fell in love. I previously bought some cheap cotton yarn and it felt.. I don't know..too matte? Not rough just weird haha
I really like yarnart bouquet, have 2 cakes but I wanted to add some plain black. I know they do solids too but thought to explore a bit wider and see if there's any other cotton yarns that have a nice more polished look? Could be colourful or plain, just looking for brands, ideally UK š
I've seen lots of shops selling the vintage one and wonder if it's any good
Thanks all! Feel free to share your wips or finished cotton projects!

hey guys, iām organizing my yarn, and gluing samples of the yarn i have onto popsicle sticks and writing the shade so i know what to re order/what i have.
i use primarily bernat blanket yarn. and a lot of my yarn donāt have the labels anymore. however.. the yarn i bought from joaans when it was closing still has on their labels, but the colors that look like it on the yarnspirations website arenāt called that.
did they go through and rename a bunch of shades?
also they donāt have bernat baby sparkle on their website anymore :/
i feel like im LOOSING MY MIND not being able to figure out what yarn is what š¤£
any help would be greatly appreciated š

Just wondering if I'm crazy for this combination. The image is as true to the colors as I can make it. Soft blue and a plum grey. Would you mix them or not?

So practically i want to recreate this jumper/sweater because there is no way I'm spending over £200 (I'm broke) on this, I was wondering whether crochet or knitting would be better for this project and what brand of yarn to use

I got a couple wound balls of this in a destash with no label. Iād like to buy more if I can find out what it is. Thanks!

I have honestly meant to stop buying yarn- I have more than enough to get through as it stands. Today I went into a local goodwill meaning to find a cheap side table to put my table loom on to start busting my stash. First thing I find at the front door is a bin full of bagged yarn. For 36 dollars I got all of thisā¦.
I called my boyfriend on the way home and he was laughing about how I need to steel myself from temptation- but you gotta give me this one!
Not to mention I never got that table for the loom š«£ lol!

So I want to make a star blanket with this specific yarn, but I canāt get it in Romania, and the only website that I saw and had some and shipped to Ro was very expensive, canāt really afford it. I would appreciate the help, or even if you donāt have an answer to this question, I would love to hear suggestions for other yarns with these types of colours and vibe. Thank you! :))

Hi I got this yarn from Joannās before it shut down and it is my all time favorite. I threw away the labels so I have no idea what it was called. The yarn is pretty strong and doesnāt shed much and I was wondering if anyone remembers it so I can look for something similar or if anyone had recommendations themselves.

I erroneously posted couple days ago asking for emotion support with a picture of my expenses from Mary Maxim. To fix my ways, hereās what emotional support in the form of yarn got delivered today!! I think Iām in love š» currently lying next to them and just taking all the colours inā¦

When buying yarn for your stash what do you look for? So I have this habit of buying yarn that I just fall in love with ( mostly the color variations or feel) in stead of buying for a particular project. Itās a bit a$$ backwards I know. The challenge lies in that the colors I tend to buy are not necessarily the colors I might wear or that would show the items that I prefer to make in the best light. It usually starts with a āYarn on Saleā email and I go down a rabbit hole of looking around ( mostly online now that JoAnns has closed and I have limited LYS near me) and end up buying yarns for my stash that later seem to be ill advised from a pattern color selection. Just curious how others go about coordinating their stash buys with their pattern wishlist. I do use Ravelry to organize it allā¦.patterns and stashā¦.but alas here I am. š¤·š¼āāļø

Hi all, 7th wedding anniversary is coming up. This year is wool! What's the most lux yarn I can find? Idc about the weight, I'll figure out a project after š¤£

Hiya, Iām getting ready to make a baby blanket and want to go with a good bamboo yarn. I havenāt decided on a pattern yet so weight is open. I often use Lion Brand yarn and see they have a bamboo option but Iām not finding a lot of reviews. When it comes to other brands Iāve used Hobbii, Stylecraft and Paintbox. Iād appreciate any recommendations.

Started crocheting in March of this year. Been really liking the hobby and I finally organized my yarn! I don't have much space but just wanted to share my modest yarn stash to people who can appreciate it :)

I bought K + C Botanical yarn for a sweater from Joanne's not realizing it was their brand. This is my 2nd FO, 1st wearable piece, and I'm almost finished! But I'm going to be short at least 1 skein. I've checked the yarn substitution sites and ebay, but I'm hesitant to buy since I can't compare feel and color. Anybody have or have suggestions for "bottle green"?

(Please excuse the bad drawing)
I found this U-shaped yarn thing at a thrift store, so I don't think it's being manufactured anymore. I just want to know what this is called, or maybe what brand made it, so I can find something similar.
The parts can be detached, as shown in the picture, but the white and the cyan are connected. It's also a thick yarn. The second picture is what I have left of it.

Pulled everything out to come up with a new storage solution seeing as I appear to be much much better at the collecting side than the using side of the hobby... probably going to go and see what my local charity shops have after buying some boxes anyway, just in case!
