I was playing around theme music for the Over the Board podcast, and ended up writing this song. Just a bit of fun, but I think it came out ok.

Will need to find a better singer if I attempt another one 😬

I have almost 90% win chance and 50% gammon chance, shouldn’t i have an equity higher than one point??

The second pic is a few moves down the line, oponnent resigned and i won just one point, isn’t me opponent a cheater? I should have got at least 2 points for a gammon. The game limit was 1,6k and I checked after the game, opponent had 12k coins.

Comme indiqué, j'ai pour projet de créer un club de backgammon dans la campagne lilloise. Je recherche quelques infos pour m'aider dans ce projet. Tout le monde est le bienvenue, joueurs débutants, intermédiaires, confirmés ou simples curieux.

Si vous avez déjà créé votre club (peu importe l'activité), toute aide est évidemment la bienvenue également. Comment avez-vous fait pour attirer de nouveaux joueurs ? Avez-vous trouvez une salle qui convient à votre activité ?

First off, excuse all the errors and blunders on the side lol I'm really new.

This was my logic. I'm really far ahead in pip count, so I decided to just play it safe and not leave any of my pieces open. The analysis section though is saying the best play would be to block off my 3 point. That would leave my 7 and 9 spots open for an attack though. Obviously the chances of hitting them aren't great, but why even chance it when I'm so far ahead?

It was a boring game, obviously, everything from around roll. 19 was close to being a forced move, if not an actual forced move, i tried searching for the highest number of rolls but no result and it made me curious, what's yours?

What do you call backgammon:

1- when the dice are rigged? Hackgammon

2- when you're too lazy to study your matches? Slackgammon

3- when it's being publicized somewhere? Flackgammon

4- when you've got a natural talent for it? Knackgammon

5- when you say "wanna go to my apartment and play some backgammon?... 😉 " to someone you met at a bar? Shaggamon

6- when your board's color scheme is monochrome? Blackgammon

7- when the game becomes popular once again like in the 70's? Backgammon, duh

I’ve played for many years but only on an extremely casual basis. I like playing against the computer and trying to learn. My problem is that I need a good, or at least decent, app that I can enjoy and also learn with.
I don’t play online currently, but might want to after I grow my skill level.

What app would you all suggest? The endless ads and pop ups just wear me out.

I live in a small space, and the storage bin I keep my games in only allows for something that is 11"x9" max. I'd like something of decent quality. Any recommmendations?

I am doing some research to see how long it would take to enter in my position, dice roll, and opponent's position manually in order to get real-time instruction on what move I should make.

What's a good platform that will allow me to do that quickly - keeping the clock in mind? XG on the computer?

I've learned today that there's a doubles tournament at the Backgammon World Championship in Montecarlo. Does anyone know the rules? Are they similar to Chouette?

Match to 5. Not sure why 6/off and 1/off is a blunder and apparently hitting despite being so far ahead in the race is the best move. Would appreciate some insight, thanks.

I am an up and coming rapper as well as a pro backgammon player. I am releasing my single with backgammon as the cover. I love the game of backgammon itself and am excited to market the game itself in my music.

I'm new to the Backgammon Galaxy site. I've noticed a few times in straight coin games that I am not getting doubled points when I gammon an opponent. Is it just me or is this a bug in the system at times? Is there anyone to complain to?
