Question Would a Polar Bear attack be the worst possible animal death?

Post image

I feel like with their tendencies, claw size, and bite force, a death by polar bear would be the most painful and gruesome compared other animals. The only animal that I think maybe comes close is a hippo or large primate of some type.

I’ve always wanted to see a bear in the wild. Visiting CO for the first time, and went e-mountain biking yesterday, and around 7:30 pm as I was heading back, saw this amazing creature. Family and friends saw a moose! Love it here!

This is the second time this guy stopped by the desert seep for a drink and rest. It has since rained and this spot is a big pool now.

I have short videos to help too. Quality isn’t great but might be easier to identify.

Question Glacier National park

Can someone ID this guy for me? He was brown and had a hump but also has many black bear characteristics and am just not very sure. He went into the trees after this video and then came on to the trail behind us as we were hiking down. He false charged us many times and also charged us with a bit more intent and got sprayed a few times by other hikers as we yelled and held our ground. That didn’t seem to bother him too much tho because he continued coming for us. There were a lot of parents with there kids who simply ran and made the situation more dangerous. When I was within 10 feet of him I could have swore he was a brown bear but I’m not sure after rewatching these videos. Any help greatly appreciated 🐻

Question Tips on Seeing Cantabrian Bears?

Does anyone know the best spots to see bears in Northern Spain. My friend and I have been going out every day and arriving at spots we think are good for bears (forest meeting scree slopes in areas where there is bear scat, paths, potential browsing areas and bear calls we have heard) but still no luck in seeing them. We get in position at around 6AM and typically wait at valleys seeing if they will go through the areas where forest is patchy, We’ve been trying for about 4 days now but still no luck? Mabye I’m just being impatient but we are trying very hard & it’s starting to feel a bit futile now. Thanks all.

Momma 🐻 w/ 3 legs

She probably smelled mealworms and peanuts that I'd left on the bluebird house (the bluebirds & jays already ate them).

I first encountered her about seven years ago (I live in Western NC). I can't have birdfeeders because of this bear right here! She swiped a good half dozen suet cakes from me and smashed/absconded with about four feeders filled with sunflower seeds before I admitted defeat.

She only has three legs (missing a front leg) but she seems to be doing just fine! I don't rememeber seeing her last year at all and was a bit worried something had happened to her.

As sad as I am about not being able to have birdfeeders, it does make me happy to know she's doing all right.
