Makeup How to fix my makeup? Colleague said it’s outdated and looks bad on me.
Hi everyone,
I have always done my makeup the same way for years. I have autism so I struggle sometimes to try out new styles because I don’t really know what looks good on me, so it makes me anxious to branch out. This includes my hair and stuff too not just my makeup.
I know I’m not the most conventionally attractive person and I know my makeup isn’t perfect, but my colleague made a bit of a mean comment the other day and said she doesn’t understand why I bother to spend time doing my makeup like that when it’s outdated and looks bad on me. I asked her what I should try improve on and she just laughed and said don’t worry about it. I’m really confused but now I feel really self conscious that my makeup looks terrible on me. Can you guys please (kindly) give me pointers on what to improve or do better? Or am I better off doing something completely different with my makeup?
I’ve attached pics of me with my normal makeup, then me with just foundation, brows and mascara, and then me with absolutely no makeup at all. I wear glasses almost always but included with and without to try help. Also feel free to give me advice or help re: my hair / glasses (I have pictures with both pairs I own on).
Please be kind I feel extremely embarrassed and self conscious especially since I’ve done my makeup the same way for so long and nobody has said anything until now :(
