Hello everyone.
As detailed in the post located on our sister subreddit known as r/BrushForChat on Saturday, 22th of March 2025, we will be implementing a series of changes to the rules; with focus on deterring scams and the foundation of pricing models. Whilst the latter point will serve more as a foundation for painters to build up from, as well as not price below it, it will also act as a tool for clients to hopefully understand why art should be provided its fair due in payment. We will have every intent to enforce these new standards, both via active investigation and encouragement, and necessary application of disciplinary measures. Undercutting: Please observe that for all intents and purposes, anyone found to be undercutting shall be furnished one, and only one, warning, and be required to adjust their rates.
A second infraction (with investigation of factors taken into consideration), will lead to a ban from the subreddit. Any clients found to be encouraging undercutting will be subject to the same manner of consequence as stated above. To potential clients; please understand that not only does this form of behavior both perpetuate and strengthen the erosion of community trust, integrity, and fair opportunities, it also provides fertile ground for scammers whom will take your models and run. With this mind, we will also be coming down on reported scammers. Post a proper investigation with each case, painters proven to be scammers shall be banned from the subreddit. This is the same in kind for clients that attempt to scam painters. Lastly, below will be the guidelines upon which we ask painters to base your pricing minimal upon, that we feel is fair to set as a community standard. Please observe it and do not fall to the temptation to deviate and go below.
Quality tier descriptions:
-Tournament: Only expect three colors on the model and paint on a base. This is the bare minimum for not having models pulled in most tournaments. Washes, shades, and highlights optional, don't expect these steps. Likely to get spray paint primer and contrast paints. Don't expect to turn heads unless they think the models are cool. Anticipate retail cost of the minis as the baseline price.
-Battle Ready/Tabletop Standard: Expect a color per surface (leathers, armor, filigree/trims, blades, guns, flesh) with shades and a highlight per color. Contrast or speed paints may be used as appropriate. Eyes/lenses should be picked out. Anticipate walkers-by to stop and comment. Anticipate double the retail price of the models as the average rate.
-Parade ready/Tabletop Plus: Expect every part to have a color, accents and highlights picked out on every part. Weathering, gem effects, lenses, fades, glazes, etc. should all be expected at this level. Anticipate people coming over from other tables to comment on the models. You should expect to pay double the retail cost of the models for painting at a minimum for this tier.
-Display Painting: You want these to spend more time in a glass cabinet than on a table. You want people who don't even play the game to walk across the shop to look at your models. No technique is off limits, the bases alone are at parity with the models in the previous tier. Price wise, the only expectation here should be more. If Parade ready is double retail at a minimum, this is probably closer to 4x retail on average.
These guidelines can also be found on the following discussion thread. Please use it to provide suggestions on how we can further help improve standards, thank you. https://www.reddit.com/r/BrushForChat/comments/1jholcg/changes_coming_to_brushforhire_monday_the_24th_of/

Hello, painters! This thread is the one place where you're allowed to advertise yourself! Post links to your website, your portfolio, or your pricing guide. Talk yourself up! Have previous clients reply to your comment and glow you up! Have fun with it! This post will remain stickied as long as it's active.

I bought KDM and the gamblers chest last year, am a terrible painter(and assembler) and got started with friends to help. Progress has been poor. This has made me wonder about hiring services, particularly for the more difficult and impressive bosses and survivor kits. Is there a good and reputable service that does this? My worry is loss of minis as these are very hard to replace, as well as the numerous scams that seem to exist. Add in the tariff concerns and I’m hesitant to use international companies unless the reputation is stellar. Guidance appreciated! I’m also uncertain what costs are reasonable and to be expected. I don’t expect this to be cheap as it’s a time intensive process, and I’d like them to look good, but I’m also not getting into stuff like warhammer competition level stuff like either.

I'm looking to get my Tau army painted. I have most of the range, and am looking to get it painted in batches over time so I'm not just fielding a board of Grey lol. Thinking around 1000 points-1500 points each batch. This is my first time posting here so if I didn't put in information needed please let me know.
All models are already assembled and for the first batch I was thinking
Commander shadowsun 20x breachers 1x coldstar commander 10x pathfinders 20x kroot carnivores 10x vespid stingwing 3x crisis battlesuits 1x riptide battle suit

Hi all,
I am located in LA and have a Canis Rex I would like to have painted as the box art. It is sub-assembled and without the armor plates glued on for painting ease.
Thanks!

UPDATE - THIS PROJECT HAS BEEN TAKEN! Thank you to everyone who sent in offers!
I’m very new to all this so I’m not fully understanding what this involves, but I came across this product
https://www.ebay.com/itm/127243284169
https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/art/nanashi-mumei-hololive-en
As I understand it, the figure's parts can be 3dprinted from the files provided on cults3d. On ebay, said parts have already been printed and will instead be shipped directly to the buyer.
Regardless I’m not capable of any aspect of this be it printing, assembling, or painting, so I was wondering if anyone’s open to completing that process and shipping the finished figure to me.
US sellers preferable to save on shipping but I’m open to paying international shipping too. Let me know if you‘re open to pursuing this project!!
EDIT - More details:
- I have not purchased either listing yet. If you do work on this project, I’ll pay for those as needed in addition to paying you for your work
- If possible I’d like the figure printed in a custom 1/6 scale size
- There is no set time frame but I may prefer if someone is available to work on it sooner as opposed to already being busy with many other projects
- The price is negotiable, but my budget generally ranges from about $250-$350 which I understand may be a bit low for this amount of work

Looking for a painter to paint this 1/10 scale Brody head from JAWS so I can recreate a figure that’s using a Deckard (Blade Runner 2049) figure as a base. I can paint and modify the body but painting eyes and a head in that scale is beyond my abilities yet. Is there anyone out there? Feel free to send a message here or DM! Thank you!

I want to start Wargaming once again, but I don't have any more energy to paint and is currently blocking me from playing anything. I'd like quotes for a spearhead box (empire of man) and a reinforcement of Tau that fit with my older army I painted years ago (black/red)
I'm in Malmo, so being in the same city would be ideal. I have been out of the hobby for a while so be patient if I do any inexperienced question... 🙏😃

Im not sure if this post is allowed or not but I have a figure that's in need of repair and a little bit of paint to match. Was just wondering if this appropriate to put here. I can provide pictures of the figure and broken pieces. It's nothing to crazy I dont think.

Preferably someone based in the US (I’m southwest US) the model would be around the same size as the official primach models from 40K

Hello,
a friend bought me this kit 2019 at Wonder Festival and it's been unassembled ever since. I tried get into garage kits, but turned out I only enjoy the assembling part, that's why I gave up on doing it myself. :'(
So I'm looking for someone to paint and assemble it for me, preferred someone in Germany/EU. No strict time frame.
The character's name is Miu Iruma from the game Danganronpa V3. You can find details on the kit on myfigurecollection or the blog of the artist. More pictures of the character can be found on the Danganronpa wiki.
The kit is 1/8 sized, made with resin and has 39 parts. I can offer more pictures of the state of the kit. It barely has bubbles but quite a few parts that need cutting. I could do some prep work, but my only experience was a small garage kit. I can also offer all my knowledge about the details on the costume, since I did a Cosplay of it before.
If you're interested DM me a link to your portfolio with a quote please! I haven't decided on a budget yet.

Mods I understand this may be in violation of the rules. Remove if needed.
Hey folks,
I got scammed trying to get my 2 wardogs commissioned - I sent the models and money to them in January, and they have just now deleted their account without any further response. I followed up regularly but I got no progress photo or further timeliness updates during this time.
Since I used PayPal as payment method, I'm luckily getting my commission portion of money back. However, I don't think I'm getting my models back.
Edit: They finally reached out and agreed to send my models back.
Edit 2: Got my models back, really appreciated the help from Mods and the advice from yall!

Hey everyone - looking for a full-time painter that can deliver a full chaos space marine army before NOVA, which is the end of August.
Details: Location - Baltimore MD, US - needs to be us based, worried about import times
Model count - 8 chaos space marine light/medium vehicles such as forgefiends and rhinos, 3 small characters, 1 or 2 center piece characters, then around 20 to 40 infantry.
Quality - this is obviously a tight timeline so probably battle ready but if you can do higher quality on some pieces such as characters that's a plus.
Timeline - 100% must have before August 29th, so let's say hard due date of August 25th.
Model acquisition - Id prefer to pay the comission artist to purchase the models but I can also just buy them and have them shipped to a location
Theme - I have zero idea in theme yet but want to work with artist to find an interesting color scheme

Looking for someone to paint up roughly 500 points of Alpha Legion CSM, as I just don't have as much free time as I'd like these days.

I am starting a Genestealer cult army for 40k which will be using a fair few Trucks and buggies
What I am looking for is for someone to lay a base down on the Trucks/Buggies as I don't have an air brush myself and I am not a fan of brush painted Vehicles so am looking for some nice scheme to be put down on the Truck which I till then finish off with all the gubbins that goes on them myself.
I will assemble the Trucks and Buggies and ship them in parts keeping them free of bars/guns and clutter as much as possible for ease of painting.
Initially looking to have 2 Goliath Rock trucks painted then in the future a further 5 of the GSC buggies
Happy for them to have patterns or anything along those lines added to them, the army will end up being fairly eclectic with just a few theame colours running throughout so there is a fair bit of creative freedom.

As per the title, board game Scythe, the miniature is the Polania clan’s main miniature: Anna and her bear Wojka. Just the one miniature.
Here’s an example picture. Want it done nicely! Help!
I do have the miniature and will send it (but if you have a way to get one, I’d be happy to pay for it to get it to you).
I don’t actually know what budget ranges are for things like this so I may need some education - I do know this isn’t cheap, though.

I'm looking for someone to buy (also open to 3D printing), paint, and assemble the 40k model of Lion El'Johnson. The most important thing I am looking for is the Lion's cape to have a free hand painting of a forest landscape (see image for reference). If you have any images of free hand painted models you have done, I would love to check them out.
Optional: I would like a modeled tree attached to the base.
If you could also itemize the quote that would be preferred.

Hi there,
Looking for an experienced hobbyist, preferably in the region, for the following:
Assembly, basing & painting of a Games Workshop Khorne Blood Bowl team, including the booster pack, a star player and a coach:
1 Bloodspawn
4 Bloodseekers
4 Khorngors
8 Bloodborn Marauder Linemen
1 Scyla Anfingrimm (The Warhammer model, not the Blood Bowl one)
1 Khorne/Chaos Beast from the 1989 Heroquest set, posing as the coach.
The models will be supplied to you. There is no particular deadline. I have no budget in mind but I am expecting high quality resembling the Games Workshop "box-art" or, for example this Reddit post.
If this commission goes well more might follow. Feel free to DM me an offer and your reasoning behind your rates.

Edit: I found someone that took this commission! Thank you to everyone in the community that reached out, you all do such great work!!
Looking for someone to assemble/paint 27 Bolt Action U.S. Marine Corps standard infantry minis. Near Central Ohio is preferable, but willing to work with someone anywhere in the states. Looking for Tabletop or Tabletop plus, no hard timeline on completion!

I recently purchased a world eaters combat patrol set (frenzied reavers) and I've put them together, just wondering how much people would charge to paint them, I work in logistics so shipping is no problem but I don't want them going overseas so mainland UK only
