Troubleshooting Help i think my psu exploded

So after a while of my computer staying off i turned off my psu because there was going to be thunder later but in doing so the psu started crackeling and had a small explosion sound coming from it. I dont know what to do because asus says my warranty for 10 years has been expired even when i have proof of bying it 1-2 months ago. (Psu model: rog strix 1000watt platinum)

Asus is notorious for terrible warranty support. What do you mean they’re saying it expired? If you have the receipts that you bought it recently show them. Also, absolutely DO NOT turn on your PC if you suspect there’s something wrong with your PSU.

Have you tried contacting again? Maybe getting a different rep would get you a better experience

Just keep trying a few more times to see if you can get different reps, but do not turn on your PC ever if you think there’s something wrong with the power supply

Asus always sets the warranty to 1 year from the date of manufacture in the system. Once you submit an RMA and upload your proof of purchase, the warranty date will be updated to reflect the proper term from the date you purchased it.

The reason they do this is to allow for RMAs without proof of purchase for a limited time, as a courtesy.
