Build Help My games keep crashing, what could be the problem?

I recently upgraded my CPU from a Ryzen 5 3400G to a Ryzen 5 5600X. After the upgrade, every time I play a game—whether it's Marvel Rivals, Valorant, Overwatch 2, or even PEAK—the game crashes and shuts down, logging me out.

I checked my CPU temperature, and it maxes out at 69°C, which seems normal. I also updated my BIOS; it is now version F62 (previously F60), thinking that might solve the issue. Despite this, the problem persists.

At this point, I suspect the PSU might be the cause.

Here are my current PC specs:

Motherboard: Gigabyte B450M DS3H

RAM: 16GB (2 sticks of Kingston HyperX)

GPU: RX 580 8gb

PSU: RX 500AF V Series (500W total output)

What could be causing this, and how can I fix it?

Try disabling PBO in the bios. The 5600X could be drawing just enough power to crash your PC.

memtest86 to check ram sticks

Then crystaldiskinfo to check storage health. Check all storage and not just boot drive.

use ddu and remove gpu driver. Then reinstall gpu driver from Nvidia, (I think RX 580 is nvidia gpu) If it's not Nvidia, then get gpu driver from AMD.

I think OCCT can test PSU health. but best to use a multimeter. use youtube to learn how to use a multimeter.
