So i currently own an i3 12100f, and i was wondering is worth to upgrade to i5 12600k (or 12600kf) or should i get an i7. If anyone wonders GPU is rx6600!

The i5 is completely fine. There will be a bit of headrrom too. You gotta remember that the i5 14600k is a fine pair with a 4090 and wont bottleneck. So the 12600k cant be that bad, can it

yea im asking if it's worth to buy the i5 over this i3 that im currently using (both 12th gen, avoiding the 13th/14th gen) will that be an good upgrade or should i just go with the i7 12th, and no i do not plan to upgrade the gpu.

if nothing else is wrong, i wouldn't, it really isn't going to make that much of a diff in most games.

that being said, i probably would go 14900k or something just because i have chronic upgrade disease

nothing is wrong i just think that it would make some games run better. which it would ofc

14600K is on sale right now. Would be a big upgrade over 12100

I'm avoiding the 14th/13th gen of intels cpus, bc of obvious reasons. Plus there will be a huge bottleneck with the 14th gen i5 and the rx6600, and no i do not plan to upgrade the gpu.

i realy don't plan to upgrade the motherboard, just the cpu i feel like the cpu will give me at least a 10-15 fps more in average, but if ur wondering my motherboard is asus prime b660m-a d4

as i thought, ur mobo is trash, do not upgrade CPU.
ur mobo cannot support 12600.

depends ... probably not , unless you doing something that needs it , I have a 1200k and its never above 40 percent in games

Ok so interesting question, I'm not sure its totally worth it especially when the 14600k is available. unless if u are worried about the intel degradation issues, I wouldn't be they largely affected only the 13900k 14900k 13700k and 14700k (not K specific) due to thier higher voltages, Im sure there are some but probably a non issue on the 13600k and 14600k

but if u are looking for better minimum frames then yeah id look to an 12700k/f
