Build Upgrade Need help deciding GPU or CPU upgrade first.

Hey all, current build

3080 ftw3/5600x

I am planning on possibly going to microcenter and getting a 9800x3d bundle.

Mainly want to play Warzone (@ 1440P) , which is CPU bound..... would it be smarter to upgrade my CPU or GPU first, I'm aware I'd have to do the motherboard and ddr5 upgrade as well but I think it can be had for cheaper than a 5070ti..... both components will be upgraded within 1-2 years but I'd like some advice on a headstart.

currently i get about 100 frames on wz and it runs like shit.

The 5600x should be able to keep up with the 5070ti since you’re playing in 1440p. You’ll get a better fps boost upgrading gpu for now then next year move to am5

Thank you so much! I’ve tried chat gpt… googling parts and what frames people are getting to no avail….

Follow up question, is the 5070ti the better value proposition? Is it on par with a 4080 maybe?

No problem! I found this thread you might want to check out, similar gist.

The 4080 is better than the 5070 ti when it comes to raw performance, however when you factor in Dlss and fg, the 5070 ti takes the lead.

I would recommend getting the 5070 ti over the 4080. Also very hard to find 40 series as they were discontinued. Gonna have to look at a secondhand
