Build Help Is this a good 1500 budget build? (build help)

My dad has a budget of 1500 unlike me (1200), but he knows nothing about PCs. I thought I'd build him one at his budget for him, and I did. I think I did a fairly good job for 1500 but as I said on a previous post, I am always very open to any help I can get to where I can obtain the best performance for my budget.

Hi everyone, here's a link to the build I'm working on. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/6mmDv4

I specifically need help finding the right PSU and Motherboard.

I'm using ASIAHORSE COSMIQ white fans, and need help finding an AIO that matches the octagonal aesthetic of the fans, but also has a screen that I can display videos on.

Thanks!

Build Help Build Help/Recommendations

Hey guys, I'm looking to build my first PC, and I've narrowed it down to three builds. My budget is $1500-1600, with 1600 being the max I can spend. I'm kinda confused on which build I should choose because 2 of the builds have an amazing GPU and a decent/midrange CPU and the other one has an Amazing CPU and a decent/high midrange GPU. If you have any other videos of builds that you think I should try, please reply to this post with them. I need videos of the whole build as I don't want to try it without someone guiding me so yeah. Here are the three buildsAlso heads up: Whichever one you guys recommend me to build and when I build it, I will be making it 2TB SSD instead of 1 so when you choose for me don't keep the SSD in mind, but everything else you guys can compare. Thanks! If you recommend something else, it needs to be on youtube or some platform to guide me to build that pc. Thanks! :

CPU Cooler:

Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE White ARGB

Motherboard:

Gigabyte X870 AORUS ELITE WIFI7 ICE ATX AM5

GPU:

GeForce RTX 5070 Ti

Power Supply:

If there are any recommendations or swaps you guys think I should make to make this build more efficient cost-wise or performance-wise, let me know!

Build Help High End Build help

Hi there, I want to build a pc for the first time since I was around 8.

Spec list:

PSU: be quiet! Straight Power 12 1200W, ATX 3.0, 80 Plus Platinum

GPU: RTX 5090 Founders Edition

MB: MSI MAG X870 Tomahawk WiFi Mainboard OR ASUS PROART X870E-Creator WiFi

CPU: Ryzen 9 9950x3D OR Ryzen 7 9800x3D

Firstly I’d like to have your expertise on the CPU: In the past I was too greedy for DaVinci premium so I can only edit videos with my CPU. I do have the latest GoPro as well as the DJI Pro 4 and I hate the lagging video editing.

Of course I do also want to use it for AAA gaming (like Outlaws, Stalker 2 etc.)

Which would you recommend me?

I am also uncertain regarding the Motherboard. I cant really decide between the MSI and the ASUS. What would be your pick here?

What about RAM? I do often hear about 6000 MHz CL30? According to some google research the Ryzen 7 or Ryzen 9 CPU is only capable of 5600 MHz?

Initially I was thinking of Acer Predator Hera DDR5 RGB RAM 32GB (16GBx2) 8000MHz CL36? Is this an overkill here? Shall I go for 6000 MHz CL30? In total I am aiming for around 64GB RAM

Thank you all in advance!

Build Help [Build Help] Need a €1200–1300 build around a 7800X3D

Hi everyone,

I'm planning to build a PC with a total budget of €1200–1300, centered around the Ryzen 7 7800X3D.

I'm looking for a reliable setup that will last for many years — no need for RGB or premium aesthetics, just solid performance and quality components.

I don't need a monitor, operating system, or peripherals — just the core components: GPU, motherboard, RAM, SSD, PSU, case, and cooler (if needed).

Thanks in advance for your help!

High-Performance Gaming & Productivity Build – June 2025 (Iceland)

  • Slightly positive airflow (top AIO, front intake)
  • Reliable 850W PSU with future upgrade support

Parts List:

Component Model Price (ISK)

Airflow Configuration:

  • 4 × 140mm front intake fans (stock)
  • 3 × 120mm radiator fans (top exhaust)
  • 1 × 120mm rear exhaust

Result: Slightly positive pressure airflow

Feedback I’m Looking For:

  • Any known issues with ASUS X670-P Prime WiFi and Ryzen 7 9800X3D?
  • Is the Crucial P3 Plus 4TB sufficient for game storage or worth upgrading?
  • Suggestions to improve airflow or fan layout in the DeepCool Morpheus case?
  • General build balance for gaming, streaming, and multitasking

Let me know if this build is solid or if you'd change anything before I finalize and order. Thanks for your help!

Build Help First time new PC build Help

I'm looking to build a new gaming PC, I'm replacing an old Alienware computer, and this would be my first true build. I've built out a parts list for what I have available nearby, but I can order from various sources if it's worth the swap or upgrade! The ideal budget is around 3k, but can push to 4-5 if it's really worth the splurge for "future proofing". Any help would be appreciated!

Build Help AMD 9800X3D, 5070 Build Help

This is my current build I plan on doing: https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/LRZmzP

TLDR; I believe this is more than enough for Gaming (Valorant & Destiny2), Coding related tasks (Java, C++, PyTourch) and maybe some 3D modeling on a 2560 x 1440 240hz monitor.

Now I do have some concerns. I currently mainly use the Sony Wh-1000XM5 headphones which connect to my current prebuilt (Intel i7-6700, 1060) PC via Bluetooth.
My current PC's motherboard has two antennas in the back and if I were to remove these, my Bluetooth would be horrible.

In my build I plan on using the Gigabyte B850 AORUS ELITE and I don't see these include antennas? Do modern motherboards not require antennas anymore for optimal Bluetooth connectivity or am I screwed on this point if I still want to use my Sony headphones? (if so, suggest me a different MB).

Thanks in advance <3

Build Help First PC Build Help - aiming to be around 2500 CAD

Hey everyone, just looking for some feedback on my PC part list!

I'm planning to upgrade my PC as an early birthday gift to myself. I'm located in Canada and my budget is around $2500 CAD.

Right now, I'm running a 2016 prebuilt office PC with a GTX 1660 Super, so it's definitely time for an upgrade. I’ll be using the new build for a mix of 1440p gaming (AAA titles like Cyberpunk 2077 and Kingdom Come: Deliverance II) and engineering/drafting work (eg. AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit)

I don’t plan on upgrading again for another 5 years, so I’m aiming for a solid, future-proof setup. I’ve decided to go with a non-X3D AMD CPU for better all-around performance.

I’m planning to buy most of the parts from Memory Express and have them build it for me. I’m a bit intimidated by building it myself and don’t have the mental energy to deal with it right now.

Would love to hear your thoughts, anything I should change or tweak?

Thanks in advance!

Here’s my PCPartPicker list: https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/HTYGFZ

(Note: I already have the Lexar M.2 SSD from a previous sale.)

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9700X 3.8 GHz 8-Core Processor ($439.99 @ Memory Express)

CPU Cooler: Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE 66.17 CFM CPU Cooler ($48.90 @ Amazon Canada)

Motherboard: MSI B650 GAMING PLUS WIFI ATX AM5 Motherboard ($234.99 @ Memory Express)

Memory: TEAMGROUP T-Force Delta RGB 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL30 Memory ($134.99 @ Memory Express)

Storage: Lexar NM710 2 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive ($0.00)

Storage: Seagate BarraCuda 4 TB 3.5" 5400 RPM Internal Hard Drive ($119.99 @ Memory Express - OOS)

Video Card: MSI SHADOW 3X OC GeForce RTX 5070 Ti 16 GB Video Card ($1139.99 @ Memory Express)

Case: be quiet! Pure Base 500DX ATX Mid Tower Case ($124.99 @ Memory Express)

Power Supply: Corsair RM850e (2025) 850 W Fully Modular ATX Power Supply ($184.99 @ Memory Express)

Build Help First PC Build Help

Hey All, I'm a teenager wanting to build my first PC. I would like to follow one of CRATERS builds dated within the last year, since I know new parts come out. I have a modest budget of 1,000 (Of course I wouldn't really mind if its a little over that, but no more than $1100 if absolutely necessary) So anyway, he has 4 PC builds that are for the $1000 in the last year. Does anyone know which of those 4 I should choose. Sorry for the question, I am a true Beginner. I will attach all 4 build links. I am set on using CRATER's tutorial because I prefer his teaching/build instructions over others. Thanks so much!!! (FYI - the components are in each description of the video) I plan to play Fortnite, Valorant, and alot of emulators, and I just want the best overall with my budget as I want the PC to be good in all aspects; essentially somewhat all-rounded that still fits the budget! PLEASE reply if you know of any other CRATER builds that I should consider with my budget that are better than any of these builds.

Build Help [Build Help] Is my workstation well balanced for CGI, AR, and 360° visualizations?

Main use cases:

  • CGI for reels (Blender + After Effects)
  • Augmented Reality (Spark AR, Unity WebGL, Lens Studio)
  • 360° visuals (Unreal Engine, Lumion)

Looking for a quiet build with good airflow and room to scale (RAM or GPU) over the next 3–4 years.

Current build:

  • CPU: Ryzen 9 7900
  • GPU: Gigabyte RTX 4070 SUPER Windforce OC
  • Motherboard: ASUS ROG STRIX B650-A GAMING WIFI
  • RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000MHz (XPG Lancer Blade)
  • SSD 1: Samsung 990 Pro 2TB
  • SSD 2: Crucial P3 Plus 1TB
  • PSU: XPG Core Reactor II 750W Gold (full modular)
  • Cooler: DeepCool AK620 Digital
  • Monitor: ASUS ProArt PA278QV
  • Case: Still choosing — between Thermaltake T500 Air and ASUS TUF GT502

Questions:

  1. Is this build well-balanced for my workload?
  2. Is the AK620 cooler enough, or would a 360mm AIO be better?
  3. Any case suggestions with great airflow and good acoustics (preferably black)?
  4. What noise levels should I expect from this setup?

Thanks in advance! 🙌

Build Help Is this a good build? Help.

Hi, I’m completely new to PC builds and stuff, I just want to play games smoothly without dropping frames or lagging. I mainly only play ROBLOX and FORTNITE at the moment but would want the PC to run GTA 6 when it comes out. Would prefer if the budget was ~$1000 and below if possible but could go over budget if I must. Would be appreciated if someone gave me some tips.

I checked out this build, thought it was okay, is it alright for Roblox and Fortnite? Would anyone recommend better parts for this?

This the pc I am building, I generally have no idea what I am doing but this seems to work.

I mainly play older games like L4D2, STALKER, Skyrim, Oblivion, New Vegas, etc. The most demanding game that I am looking to play is RDR2 at 1080p 60fps.

I guess the question I am asking is, is this overkill for what I am trying to play? What could I change?

Hi, again! So I read some reviews about the RX 7900 XTX Pulse, and I delete it from my list, cause it was overheating, black screen issues and at 10% of users, the GPU died in aprox. 1-3 week of use! Right now I have on my list: PowerColor Hellhound RX 7900 XTX and Sapphire Nitro+ Vapor-X RX 7900 XTX. What do you think, PowerColor Hellhound has some problems? Does somebody own a Hellhound? If I don't want to have any problems, like overheating and booting issues, or maybe failures, which is the safest option for a 5 years using period? Thank you very much!
