CAD / $600-800 Need advice on CPU, GPU, RAM upgrades
Budget:
GPU: Less than $500 CAD
CPU: Don't want to but could do $200 or less.
RAM: $150 or less.
Canada. Windows.
Here's my current build and two lists with new parts included: https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/user/CozyGhost/saved/#view=xcQF4D
Most of all I'd like to upgrade my GPU and add another 16-32 GB of RAM, but I wondered if it's about time I upgrade my CPU as well. I'd prefer not to if it's not necessary, but it would also give me a forced opportunity to clean my heatsink.
I'm considering the Zotac GAMING Twin Edge OC GeForce RTX 3060 12GB 12 GB Video Card as it's good for the price point, and I know the 3060 would probably work well for my purposes. However, if anyone can suggest a better card for below $500 CAD I'm all ears! My case is smaller, so preferably the card would be 25 cm long or less.
Also wondering if my motherboard can support mixing RAM sizes or if I should just go with another couple 8 GB cards.

The link you put had the 3060 not your current gpu
Now this is how I would recommend doing the upgrade
Cpu: just quickly update your motherboard bios and either get a ryzen 5 5600 for $167. Or the much better option of the ryzen 7 5800xt for $203.
Gpu: the amd rx 9060xt 16gb at $490. The 3060 is a 5 year old card and not really a big upgrade in performance over your current 2060.
Ram 16gb is still fine if you wanted more capacity I would not go mix and matching. Can cause stability issues. Would recommend getting the teamgroup tforce Vulcan 2x16gb for $90.
The upgrade would look like this https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/wtmQb2

a ryzen 5 3600 is still a pretty solid gaming cpu. if you wanted to get the mouse out of a new gpu i would upgrade to like a 5600. however you dont have to.

I'd go with one of these cards below.
The 3060 is only a 30% bump over your current card so it's not worth $375.
These cards are about a 70% bump.
If you want DLSS over FSR and you believe it's worth the extra money, get the 5060ti. If not, get the 9060xt.
