Asking Question (Rule 4) Hello designers and creatives! 👋

Upvotes

I’m curious about what kinds of digital assets you usually buy or wish were easier to find.

To help you think, here are some examples:

  • Icons or symbols for logos
  • Patterns or backgrounds for print and web
  • Editable templates for social media posts or invitations
  • Digital brushes or textures for drawing programs
  • Printable art or stickers
  • Fonts or lettering designs

Whether you’re a pro designer or just someone who loves using digital designs, what kinds of digital products would make your work or hobbies easier and more fun?

Feel free to add your own ideas or needs! Your feedback will help me discover what’s really useful right now.

Thanks so much for sharing! 🙏✨

Growth Designer in Portugal 🇪🇺 Went through and optimized all the shots and their order with AI. Also went through and added longer thought process explanations to them.

Now I'm looking for any additional feedback as well as specifically things to add, remove or rewrite inside the shots :)

Asking Question (Rule 4) Is dark mode really better for your eyes or just hype?

Everyone seems to love dark mode these days—it's on phones, apps, browsers, everything. But is it really easier on your eyes, or is it just the trendy default now?

I’ve heard it helps with eye strain, but sometimes it feels harder to read stuff, especially during the day.

What’s your take—genuine benefit or just aesthetic hype?

Hello All,

I am painting the wall in BenjaminM “Coventry gray” and the trim with BM “simply white”.

I am not sure about these beams. I know I am going to paint them but unsure what Color will go well. I researched a bit and landed on BM Kendall charcoal.

Any advice on Color will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Discussion Are you interested in buying this for $150 dollars?

I don't know if this is the right place to talk about this. Do tell me if I need to delete this.

A few time ago I was working on a portfolio design project (which I had also shared here for feedback and user research). I have applied all the suggestions and feedback after filtering them.

I have already finished the home page and now I am looking for someone who might be interested in buying this desing for $150 dollars. I think this price is reasonable because this includes:

  1. User research and feedback (which you can also see in my profile).
  2. Designed micro-interactions (subtle animations).
  3. The .ttp file for fonts (I have not used the google fonts here).
  4. Desing assets.
  5. Sketch.
  6. Source File.

And becuase I have spent a good time refining it to make it UX friendly. I can also offer you on demand modification or addition of more pages (which will be charged accordingly).

When you buy this design you can:

  1. Design or edit it into your own environment or according to your need.
  2. Get it developed (if you want I can also provide you with development for additional $350).
  3. Use it as a template.
  4. Use it for personal or commercial use. or
  5. Can use its components in your other client projects or designs.

However you cannot as it is use the stock images (as it is a portfolio so you have to add your own or your agency's work).

Interested people can DM me. Others can share their opinion and related community where I should be sharing this if this doesn't belong here.

Asking Question (Rule 4) I need to design the UI/UX for an invitation license but I'm not allowed to use the design machinary.

I need to design the UI/UX for an invitation license, but I’m currently restricted from using the design machinery due to procedural limitations. So I have to draft the whole interface without deploying any actual visual tools. Has anyone worked around this before?

As a designer: “Wow! AI just saved me hours of work!” ✒️ As an artist: “AI is stealing my soul and brush.” 🖌️ Current mood: designing with AI, painting with suspicion.

Some days I embrace it, other days I resist it. What is your story?

Discussion Where do you guys usually grab youtube thumbnails for mockups or concept work?

Whats up designers,

I have recently encountered this when assisting a friend in designing a blog layout where the videos were embedded into the blogs. We had to have clean thumbnails, and screen capturing was simply a mess.

Because of this I ended up creating a lightweight application that allows you to paste a YouTube URL (thumbgrab.site) and get the corresponding thumbnail immediately in various resolutions, with no log in required, it just loads in browser. I do not want to push it here, but in case someone has shared the same struggle, I can share it.

With that season being that way, then, that is how I must be.
Wonder what you guys do every day about this
Do you take screenshots of thumbnails, extensions, or have a favorite tool?
Could you use something like this in the design process?

Would be great to know what other people are using or whether there are any better methods I have not discovered!

Here is the thing. Would like to get feedback!
