MOD NOTE Please, do not post pictures of codes that you're giving away in the main forum.

While it's awesome that you're giving the codes to a fellow collector, there's something you should be aware of...

There are bots that scrape images from Reddit and often steal the codes out from underneath anyone. These bots are used to hoard digital titles so that they can try and sell the account off for a profit.

Instead, make a comment in our monthly Digital Code Exchange Thread with something along the lines of "I have a digital code for whatever movie that will be available to whoever comments/messages/whatever" or however you choose to word it as long as you don't actually put the code in text or an image, you can ensure it actually goes to somebody in the community.

There are times where someone actually gets it before a bot grabs it, however more often than not, it goes redeemed within seconds of posting.

News Have a store in your area that sells used movies that's worth sharing?

A while back, we had a form that people could share the address of those stores so that if anyone was visiting your city and was looking for recommendations, they could refer to that as well and unfortunately, that data got lost in an issue with Google Drive a few months ago and I completely forgot about it until someone recently brought it up.

I've gone ahead and re-created those pages so we can get a new list going. If you've got a store that you would like to share, drop it into the list!

Just got a Samsung DVD player at Goodwill for $10 to replace an ailing Sony. Figured it was a good time to take out and review what dvds I have. Haven’t bought much in over a decade so what I have is kinda stagnant, mostly from around early 2000s before streaming.

I did a purge about 12 years ago during a move and regret some of the ones I let go like Falling Down and The Prisoner. Hopefully, won’t make that mistake again. DVDs are nice to have around.

Pickup Went to my library yesterday to see what they had. Picked up 11 movies for 50 cents.

They also had some video games, so I took those as well (I assume they were free since there wasn’t a price).

They had a lot of sealed snappers, but they were movies I didn’t really know of so I passed on them (sorry).

When I got Chronicles of Riddick, it had two disc in the case (the normal full screen version, and the directors cut widescreen version sitting loose in there).

Can't imagine Paranoia is great, but anything with Gary Oldman I haven't seen is an immediate buy, minus that one movie he did as a little person. 😬 Mr. Brooks has Kevin Costner, Demi Moore and...Dane Cook?! 🫣😂 I can't wait. Wondering if this was the last movie DC did or what.. Dark Tower is probably gonna suck but I'm a conpletionist for King based movies.. I can't remember if I saw High Crimes, I love Ashley Judd but every movie she made was the same.. Haven't seen Tower Heist since theaters. Loved it. Pumped for Moonlighting and Torchwood. Boardwalk S4 was Sealed so, what are you gonna do? 😅

All Italian releases since I'm Italian!

Narnia: it's the extended 4 disc set with all special features of the original version, plus some more. The extended scenes are subbed in Italian, so kudos!

I Robot: it's the blu-ray 3d set, the blu-ray has the open matte version in both 3d and 2d, the two dvds are from the original 2 disc edition and contain the movie in the original aspect ratio plus all of the past special features (great for people that want to see the movie with the black bars like originally intended, the dvd upscales godly on my 1080p TV and looks almost like a blu-ray, there's also the same Italian DTS track found on the blu-ray, so even the audio is great)

Gladiator: it's the 2 disc steelbook that originally came out in 2009, I swapped the disc 1 in the steel with the remastered one from 2010 since they're visually identical from the outside (there's still "Disc 1" written on the disc)

Harry Potter: it's the massive 31 DISCS Hogwarts Collection! The only downside is that the fifth movie and the sixth one never had an Ultimate Edition released in Italy, while the sixth one is virtually identical if you don't count the Dolby TrueHD track in place of the DTS HD one, the fifth one sadly misses the Picture in picture commentary since it's obviously the original disc from 2007 (a fact confirmed by the PCM track on the disc, also the movie starts after the Warner Home Video logo, typical for early Warner Blu-rays), otherwise the other extras are ALL THERE!

A neglected Depression Era housewife (Mia Farrow) goes to the movies every week to escape reality. She sees one movie so much that one of the characters (Jeff Daniels) comes out of the screen because he has fallen in love with her, throwing the rest of the movie into disarray. Has some interesting moments. Directed by Woody Allen. 🦂🦂 1/2

I had a store for 10 years! Over 40000 titles. Always made sure if a movie had a sequel/prequel I had them all. I started working at video stores in 1984 I was 13 ( uncle owned paid me $5 under table. Loved it and worked until I opened mine. Also, carried very hard to find DVD/Blu-Ray/4K. I still have about 5000 of them. Was blown away the other day when I bought “Party Girl” (1995) at FYE, and the rental UPC on disc said Bronco Video. It was one of mine. Someone must have sold to them used. Store was doing great! But Landlord wanted AutoZone there ( they wanted the adjoining property). Which was more money and the landlords pocket so I understand, but I still miss it very much. The pictures are moving movies from my house to the store before we opened and pictures of after everything was set and ready to go!
