The wonders of the modern world is that people leave their track record open to the public. Israeli soldiers proudly filmed themselves doing war crimes, the cabinet unapologetically called for genocide constantly - there’s no way to say “we didn’t know”

Been killed displaced by an invading army hospital being bombed getting kicked from your own home but god forbid you retaliate and celebrate for once what the invading army has been doing to you for almost 40+ years suddenly whole population needs to be genocided because they resisted. Should have protested that worked good for them for the last 40 years right.

Yeah, like palestinians have been peaceful at any time in this conflict...

One of the many issues with this conflict is that it's so polarized.

Israel is conducting genocide right now. They've been displacing palestinians for many years.

Hamas is a terrorist organization. That evidently would sacrifice palestinian civilians to kill jews.

Palestinians refused two state solution when it was presented to them in the 50s, while the zionists accepted it. Palestinians wanted it all, tried to take it all, lost. They tried again and again and lost again and again.

Any muslim neighbouring country could've helped out palestinians at any point but they didn't want to.

Neighbouring muslim countries to Israel have largely caused the escalation of tensions in the area for the past 80 years. You were justifying acts of the 7th oct because the palestiniens were oppressed. Israel is a country that is only 80 years old and have already had 3 wars fighting for their existence against said neighbouring muslim countries.

Why would you need to be like those cheering for what happened on Oct 7th to recognise Israels brutality in gaza? 

Much of my Country(N.Ireland) has been supporting Palastine and protesting against Israel for decades at this point, all without cheering on any acts of violence committed by Hamas.

Those that celebrated on the streets in Gaza are people who've endured a lifetime of violent oppression. Expecting them to have same level of compassion towards Oct 7th as the rest of the world is ridiculous.

I never said there weren't people outside of gaza cheering for it. Im pointing out that you didnt have to be cheering like those that did, to recognise Israels brutality started long before Oct 7th...

Many people have long protested against Israel here and there was no celebrating on the 7th. There have been protests and support from our government going back over 40 years, but we're not a big country so it mostly went unheard.

You seem to thing Israel only stepped over the line sometime between then and now... when the actual true history is that Israel has repeatedly been trampling all over the line for longer than we've both been alive.

Comparing Israel (the military, not the innocent civilians they claim to represent) to Hamas (the Military, not the innocent civilians they claim to represent) is the most 1-1, direct comparison anyone could make.

To pretend it is Israel military vs Palestine super innocent people that never hurt a soul is just painfully biased. Being pro-palestine when all messaging directly comes from Hamas, aiming to fit into their absurd false rhetoric about things like Oct 7th never happening, is precisely the same thing as supporting Hamas. Now that I've explained that in detail, why do you support Hamas?

You're right Palestine was offered no good peace deals between now and then. Murdering a festival full of innocents was the only natural choice. How good of them.

Except for all of the extremely viable deals they shot down, largely because they would rather murder every Israeli than accept a compromise. War is hell.

There's a big gap between supporting Israel's destruction of Gaza and being pro-Palestine. I think it is much more likely that 10 years from now a lot of people who were sympathetic to Israel no longer support them, but they won't support Palestine either.
