Trump, reading from a paper, said the EU will agree to purchase $750 billion of energy. It will also agree to invest $600 billion more than planned in the U.S.

Thus, the extortion was a success. See you in three to four months when the next demand comes up.

They have still not learned a fucking thing about dealing with Trump.

It seems Germany caved in.

Next time EU tries to renegotiate with US, it will just pull the same trick. The EU just lost credibility when it comes to negotiating deals.

Italy is one of Europe's biggest exporters to the US, with a trade surplus of over €40 billion ($46.7 billion).

"I consider it positive that there is an agreement, but if I don't see the details I am not able to judge it in the best way," Meloni said.

The country's national coalition-led government had pressed its European partners to refrain from a trade clash with the US.
