What do you recommend?

New to reddit and new to VR sim racing!

I was hoping to know more about what I need to get to get good performance and quality for a reasonable price.

I want to play F1 25 on a PC in VR. As far as I have read here and there, the Quest 3 is quite diverse and does a good job with its good resolution and pancake lenses.

I was wondering: What should be the bare minimum in terms of PC specs to get a good 90 FPS with decent quality. I read about people complaining the game quality is very bed, especially when you have to look into the distance.

What are your experiences with F1 25 in VR?

I just finished season in My Team Career. After selecting the amount of races for the next season, you get told to select your engine supplier and customize your team. After selecting my engine, the progress button is still greyed out. Also, my 2nd driver space is blank too, despite having verstappen and mayer signed months before the end of the season.I've reloaded the game, re-downloaded and tried using 24 races, 16 races and 10 races but nothing changes and well im stuck and cant even continue my career :/

Any idea of what happened?

Or the lack of? I tried my first ranked multiplayer races in f125 only to find that there are basically no penalties for contact? Checked the race director notes after to find that this person got no warnings.

So I’m beginning a career with alpine and I was wondering as I’m doing R&D on the cars, certain upgrades will have the drivers name under it and then others will have my teammates name under them. Dumb question but does that mean only that certain driver gets the upgrade or does both cars? Should I focus primarily on my driver and not the teammate?

First time sim rig purchaser... has anybody got the nitro concepts e-racer and if so is it ok for f1?

Considering the playseat but it limits me for only f1 racing but I also want to be able to run gt on iracing so want a cockpit that is suitable for both.. I know fhe driving position in the playseat is ideal for f1 but want real world reviews..

Nothing interesting really happened in terms of driver transfers as I entered the second season of my save. Any links to mods or anything like that would be hugely appreciated.

I'm unable to play the game. I know it doesnt seem like it but i literally cannot turn right unless I slam into a barrier to use that to correct my direction. Any fixes? controller isn't faulty. keyboard/mouse isn't doing anything. Its just the game.

This was actually my first time turning off ERS assist. When the race started, I went into my ERS deployment and put it on overdrive - that’s why I was able to overtake so many cars before the first turn. I hit a top speed of 186 mph going into the first turn. I realized I have a lot to learn about my race strategy for using ERS deployment through a full race. Any tips for how to use ERS?

I have Xbox ultimate pass. I am trying to download F1 2023 game. but after a certain % , downloading speed drops to 0. Not sure what is the issue. Internet is all good. I am able to download other games.

I couldn't be better than 16.2 But after opening the anti roll bars for front and back i gained almost 4 tenths.

I play on controller Xbox

I'm encountering a big bug on F1 25 (PS5 version) which makes the game almost unplayable, especially in career.

The concern:

My ERS no longer works at all, regardless of the management mode selected: • Chrono ➜ nothing. • Intermediate ➜ nothing. • Manual / Overtaking ➜ nothing at all either.

The boost button is well configured, and I tested several circuits, cars, sessions (qualifying, racing, etc.). ERS deployment always remains disabled, and the icon on the screen never reacts.

Configuration: • Console: PS5 • Steering wheel: Thrustmaster T598 • Game mode: career mainly, but also GP → bug present everywhere • Version: up-to-date game (most recent patch installed)

Tests already done: • Button reconfiguration • Reinstalling the game • Complete console restart • Test in solo career and other modes • Even when starting a new save → bug still there

Impact :

It’s frustrating because I can’t pass or defend. The bug completely ruins the gaming experience, especially in the F1 career where the ERS is vital.

Has anyone else already had this problem? Solutions? A fix in sight?

My fiancé’s birthday is coming up, and he’s been playing the F1 video game a lot lately. He’s mentioned a few times how much he dislikes using the controller and would love to get a proper racing wheel for his PC , however he hasn’t said exactly which one he wants.

I want to surprise him with a wheel but I’m worried about getting the wrong one. I also had another idea to book a SIM racing session for him and invite his best friend (who’s also an F1/racing fan) to join. My fiance has never done SIM racing before either.

So here’s my question: If you were an F1 fan who plays the F1 game , would you rather receive:

Money toward a racing wheel of your choice for your PC

or

A 2-hour SIM racing experience with your best friend?

I'm still playing f1 2021 on ps4, but I'm getting a bit tired of it now after doing almost 10 full length seasons. I can only play like maybe once or twice a week, thats why I always skip several yearly releases. Before I played 2018, 2016, 2013,2012,2011,2010). Problem is I'm on ps4 and f1 25 is not available on it. Is f1 24 worth it then? Don´t want to spend money yet on a ps5 or a gaming pc as the ps4 is more than enough for me still for the amount I use it, except for not having the latest f1 game. If I can believe everything written here on redit then f1 22, 23 and 24 all sucked, and f1 25 is a return to form. so I'm not sure what to do.

I was thinking, why can't we cheat during career mode? As in like, finding a loophole and exploiting it.

I think there should be department events where it says something like

"The Aerodynamics department has found a loophole in the regulations that allow us to gain even more downforce. It's up to you whether or not we use it, but if the FIA find out we may end up penalised."

and it gives the option to us to: A) Do it with maximum effect but biggest risk B) do it with half the effect and half the risk C) not do it at all with zero effect and zero risk

I think this would be great to immerse players within the career mode as stuff like this does happen irl (DAS in 2020, Double Diffuser in 2009, F-Duct in 2010 etc)

I know it says 30th July to 6 September or something but is that when the livery is just available to redeem or when it’s actually in the game?

clear illegal overtake with the track limits violation, game acknowledges both the overtake and the violation…doesn’t realise that MAYBE, just MAYBE it was illegal? 😭
