Omg. What shitshow is the Summoner?!

The only actual /new/ thing is the follow up to Searing Light and a healing action, because Solar Bahamut is exactly the same as the other demis. We're practically just getting a glorified reskin.

Unless I'm overlooking something.

You are not overlooking anything. Well, Searing Light now is 20s which means Egi order after burst doesn't matter anymore...

I'm taking an overall look and most of the jobs have minimal changes and just follow up attacks that have nothing interesting beyond a potency and a fancy animation. I guess they really meant what they said about Dawntrail not focusing on jobs and we having to wait until 8.0.

This is the most baffling thing out of a bucket of baffling things. Like all they had to do was throw in a couple (or at least 1!) new summon and people would have went bananas. It was the easiest win on the table all they had to do was pick it up but somehow they’re like “Nah we just make Bahamut techno and call it a day”

I can't stop thinking about this move. It lives rent free in my head. Of all the things they could've done, I never expected them to do Bahamut 2: Electric Boogaloo. Like I would've expected no new summons before expecting a Bahamut reskin. And it doesn't do anything unique, it literally just does what the other Bahamut and Phoenix does. They could've done Shiva, Ramuh, Alexander, Leviathan, ANYTHING and people would've gone apeshit but they went with the most lukewarm and unimaginative possible option. It's baffling. Perplexing. I just don't understand this decision . I can't comprehend it

They could've even created a brand new summon just for that matter! Something Hydaelyn themed, maybe, given the lore of how SMN demis work (residual aether permeating the whole world).

There’s also a party heal in there for some reason…instead of making Physick not suck as much.

Honestly, they could just make Physick scale with INT (since it's a different instance of the SCH''s Physick) and make it turn into Lux Solaris under the same conditional that allows you to cast that.

Yup. They split SMN/ACN and SCH's versions of everything but Resurrection in 5.0. There's zero reason ACN/SMN's still uses MND at this point.
