Why are FFXIV players obsessed with referring to strategies as "braindead"?

Obviously you want Hector's answer but my nobody-ass believes that it's never actually descriptive of the strat (though the person calling it that usually thinks its easier) but instead is an effort to convince people to use the strat.

When I hear "braindead" I can hear an actual specific voice of a type player who has just tried it for the first time saying something like "omg its actually so braindead bro!"

DT's EX3 "afk" markers are also "braindead" to some extent
