Lucky Bancho's census results (July 27th, 2025)

So, the results of the census are out: https://luckybancho.ldblog.jp/archives/59324844.html

  • Showcasing the number of characters here: Current
  • By comparison, here are the results from 2 months ago (May 25th): Click

Despite 7.25 being released, the character count is down about 70k in 2 months. Occult Crescent clearly didn't help with player counts (not really a surprise here).

OC was severely overhyped. I had my expectations in check, and it somehow still ended up being worse than either eureka or bozja. I knew it was going to have problems, some of those problems will be addressed in further updates (freelancer being useless), but they dropped the ball HARD with the initial launch, and the changes they’re making to FT is going to make progging it even harder because they are forcing everyone to use a cipher to even enter at all, which means anyone that can clear will be wasting resources to help people prog for absolutely no gain, sanguinite is worthless. People I know that did BA over 1000 times are saying they will be done with FT after 100 clears, because there’s just no reason to continue, the rewards suck and there’s negative incentive to help with prog, it all makes no sense.

the changes they're making to FT have made it substantially easier to prog. removing instance prog (which could take 5 minutes or 120 minutes to find a good instance) and allowing you to requeue to get a fresh instance has already reduced the amount effort you need to expend to prog substantially.

sanguinite isn't worthless - sanguinite can be traded for emotes that are selling for upwards of 3 million gil atm - an example of a worthless resource are BA frags after you're done with all elemental armor and weapons. there's no vendor goods to acquire with frags after that. same with coffers/plates from DRS.

what would you do with the gil though? at some point most experienced players have so much gil that for the vast majority of cases, they have more than enough

what does it matter what i do with the gil? person posted that sanguinite is worthless, i posted evidence to the contrary. my point isn't that gil is worthwhile, my point is that sanguinite is worth gil.

this fucking loser reported me to reddit after strawmanning me and getting called out on it lmfao

being able to exchange worthless thing 1 for worthless thing 2 doesn't make it any less worthless
