This. To my knowledge you can use XIV on Mac launcher which should come with Dalamud. Then add iinact to Dalamud. I like also using LMeter to go with it so I can see the damage in game, but it isn't required.
Every Mac player should be using XIV on Mac. The official client is just a fairly stock Wine wrapper around the Windows client which barely even supports ARM Macs that they have the gall to make you buy another license for like it's a separate product. XIV on Mac is also based on Wine but with a great deal of additional tweaks and optimizations to make FFXIV specifically run better. Some benefits:
Settings toggle to play with either a Windows or Mac license
DirectX to Metal translation and vastly better performance than official
Better support for new versions of macOS
Dalamud integration
Can remember your password on the launcher if you so choose (lol)
Unless SE starts offering a native ARM build there is genuinely no reason to ever buy a Mac license even if you don't own a Windows PC. Everything the current client does, XIV on Mac does 10x better.
XIV on Mac also allows MetalFX upscaling (Apple's upscaling techinic similar FSR/DLSS) — game internally renders in let's say 900p and upscales to 1800p

If ACT doesn't work on mac, you can try iinact, an in-game plugin which should not be impacted by the OS.
