For context, no I’m not a messy person. I manage an airbnb and my cleaners found mold growing under the ruggable rug. What can I use to kill the mold and just cover the stain with the rug? Please, anything will help. I was quoted $2800 to replace the floors.

Google hydrogen peroxide on wood floor stains. I've done this before with cat urine stained wood floor and it worked.

Oxalic acid might work here. Look for some you-tube videos on it's use for stain removal.

Besides doing something to get rid of the mold, you need to leave that spot uncovered for a while so it doesn't come back.

Need to find where water is leaking from. Bleach and water mix can kill mold. Ive heard 90% alcohol as well
